Overestimated. Lots of items were sold out when we went, even no milk available, only oat milk left, resulting in a very limited choice for ppl who don't like oat milk(I'm okay with oat milk but my husband only drinks cow milk). Sunday afternoon is supposed to be the peak time but they don't do a good job of restocking. Service was okay tho.

Berry matcha was okay, very average matcha in Edinburgh. My husband says the chocolate chip cookie was edible. I wanted to order the spinach benedict as well, but was told "it's not spinach season", which was a bit of a bummer.

The shop is so noisy that I can't really hear what the staff are saying, it's more like a pub than a cafe. Also, strongly recommend everyone not to sit next to the toilet or will have to put up with a constant stream of unqualified customers who forget to shut the door after finishing using the toilet and then leave you to enjoy your food and drink like you were...

Situated around elm row close to the cure bookshops, Ante offers passer-by good pastries. There are many drinks and coffee but I go with hot chocolate (in the menu it’s called barebones). It tastes really good.

Their French omelette is quite impressive. It’s delicate and soft mellowing in mouth. Its rye bread is not my favorite . The trick is that you can ask for the ketchup jam. It’s very unique adding sweetness and touch of herbal spices.

Their pastries are nice I try their chocolate hazelnut bun which is rich and good.

Their venison pie come with good portion. Dipping with the sauce make the whole plate pleasantly flavorful. Without the sauce however, the pie could have been warmer and the fillings is little bit dry.

The cafe decorated with minimal tones and the wooden bring the cozy vibe despite of its location on underground floor.

Highly recommend to sit and pamper...

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience here was shockingly bad. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty with plenty of open tables. Still, the server at the front refused to seat us, offering no clear explanation and an attitude that made us feel completely unwelcome. Their tone was dismissive and borderline hostile, as if we were inconveniencing them simply by walking in. I don’t recommend this place at all 😔😔.

After your response—

Serving our group, that offered to separate into two tables, would be no different than two different parties arriving at the same time. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. Not to mention, there were some micro-aggressive undertones in the way the staff spoke to us. We felt...
