An absolute rip off! £3 for a breakfast roll before you add a filling?!?!?! Then £1.20 a filling. So a black pudding and tattie scone roll is £5.40. Lorne sausage and egg roll the same, bro had egg, sausage bacon fire £6.60. At least that's what I got charged. Staff don't know what is black pudding and what is haggis. I do. I ordered one and got the other. Mentioned it and the waitress offered to change it but I didn't give that much of a thought - accidents happen but then the chef and manager told me I was wrong and that I had been served black pudding. If that was black pudding it was more barley than blood. Now I've had Charlie Barley black pudding from Stornoway but this was not that. £3+ for concentrated apple juice too. Asked for water as well, never arrived. Not recommended. The opposite of...

TOTAL RIP OFF! The price of a morning roll at this place is £3.20 and that's just the roll mind, no filling included!. With one filling (in my case some dried out lorne sausage) it costs £6. Lived in Edinburgh all my life and never experienced this level of cheeky price for a Scottish staple which you can get for

Let’s be honest — good coffee is everywhere these days. But good energy? Real conversation? People who actually care? That’s rare. And that’s exactly what you’ll find at Cafe Elmrow.

Egemen has created a little universe where strangers turn into regulars, and regulars turn into friends — all over a perfect flat white and a few laughs about life.

It’s the kind of place where you go for “just one coffee” and leave two hours later with a full heart, maybe some book recommendations, and a new favorite barista.

If you’re looking for more than caffeine — a pause, a chat, a sense of ahh this feels nice — this is your spot.

Highly recommend. (But fair warning: you might get addicted. And not just to...

The food here was really top quality. I ordered a veggie breakfast as pictured. The hash browns had bits of chive in which really added an extra dimension of flavour whilst the sourdough bread had a lovely crunch to it. Every component was cooked to perfection, however I believe the portion sizes could be slightly larger - when ordering a breakfast I imagined more than one sausage. This being said, I have no complaints about the quality of the food or the service. The waiting staff were very friendly and it was a comfortable and relaxed environment. I would return despite the portions.

Yummy breakfast! We stayed at Marriott Courtyard and this is a very shirt walk from there, just across the street. They have about 4 or 5 tables inside, and some outside. The gentleman who waited on us was friendly and the food was excellent. I had the three egg omelette with ham and tomatoes. And it was really good. Decaf cappuccino was very good as well. We had been going to another place across the street for our breakfast, and really glad to find this one, as it is much better and less expensive. I highly recommend for breakfast and coffee.

It was a nice place for a very late Sunday brunch. It's a nice, unpretentious place with interesting decorations but a table so wobbly it spilled coffee from my cup. Service was nice but a little clumsy, we had to source menus and cutlery from another table since ours didn't have either. The food was really good and I really enjoyed it, and though the Scottish breakfast was missing the link sausage advertised on the menu, it was still more than filling. All in all, I will definitely return soon since it's a lovely local place for breakfast.
