If you’re on the hunt for the best burger in Edinburgh, stop what you’re doing and head straight to Chilo’s. Tucked away with a laid-back vibe and a passion for proper burgers, this place is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food done right.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm energy — the kind of welcome that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. The space has just the right balance of cozy and cool, with music that sets the tone without overpowering your conversation.
Now, let’s talk burgers. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill fast food patties — these are thick, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell every component is crafted with care: from the perfectly toasted buns to the generous toppings that don’t skimp on quality. I ordered the [insert burger name or style you had, or I can add one], and it was nothing short of exceptional. The meat was seasoned perfectly, the cheese melted just right, and the sauce? Unreal. It brought everything together in one glorious bite.
Chilo’s also nails it when it comes to fries. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside — and seasoned like they actually care. You can taste the attention to detail in every side dish.
Don’t sleep on the drinks, either. Whether you’re after a proper milkshake, something fizzy, or a cheeky local beer, they’ve got options to match whatever mood you’re in.
What really sets Chilo’s apart, though, is the service. Friendly, fast, and genuinely passionate about the food they’re serving. You can tell this isn’t just a business — it’s a labor of love. The staff are happy to chat, make recommendations, or just leave you to enjoy your food in peace.
Prices? Super fair for the quality you’re getting. You leave feeling full, happy, and like you got your money’s worth — which isn’t always the case these days.
Whether you’re a burger connoisseur or just someone who appreciates a proper meal, Chilo’s Burger hits all the right notes. It’s the kind of place you’ll find yourself craving days later, already planning...
Read moreIt was our first time trying it after hearing about it so much in Glasgow, they don’t deliver to my home yet I’m hoping so we ordered for collection, it took longer than it stated but that was as they started making my order and seen my note after about wanting chicken instead of beef and they were so kind to offer my husband a drink too, their own branded Mandarin which is so good! I eagerly waited for my husband to come home to having received the wrong items despite the wait so I called but was so amazed at the service, they sent me my correct order within 30 minutes to my address (this was all after their closing time) and I really appeciated that so thank you so much, food was 10/10 so as I heard, service was 10/10 and biggest thing nowadays you get nothing for such prices in portion but the portion size is MASSSIVEEE so this place is literally perfect and replacing the beef for chicken as I’m not fan it was even more tasty so will definitely be ordering again, thank you so much! (P.S I can never ever find my preferred drink (Irn bru extra sugar free) at any place to eat out so you are amazing for having that, that really won me over and there are no enemy drinks either!!🤩 May Allah swt put his barakah in your...
Read moreA fantastic addition to Edinburgh's fast food options.
We had the double stack burgers and they absolutely did not disappoint. The meat was superb, the cheese perfectly melted in and the sauce was great.
We've really been looking for a good burger place since the sad demise of BRGR so if you are also still lamenting that loss (!) this is the place to come to...
The fries were also really good and plentiful (too many for either of us to finish actually) and they come with a great selection of seasoning and dips you get to choose from.
The only thing taking away from this being a five star review was the drinks.
We both had own branded cans of "Nae Sugar" cola and whilst mine was fine as we were leaving I noticed my partner had left half of hers. I asked if she didn't like it and she said it tasted funny. So I gave it a try and yeah, it was indeed odd - It was like the syrup had run out and it was very weakly flavoured carbonated water. Sometimes happens with draft soft drinks but never had this with a canned drink before.
But anyway, asides from that a great place with great fast food. Definitely...
