Hong Kong Legacy Lime Duck
Most will have heard of the famous Lemon Chicken, but few will know that it isactually the European version that evolved from the Lime Duck dish. Chinese Manor House is proud to be the first in Edinburgh to present this originaland very popular Hong Kong dish.
Stir Fried Ho Fun With Beef
A signature Cantonese dish, originating from the Guang Dong province, made fromstir fried beef, flat rice noodle, bean sprouts, coated with a special dark soya sauce.
Legacy Kung Po Chicken (Old Traditional Recipe)
Chicken cubes, dried chili pepper and deep-fried peanuts. The tender taste of thechicken matches great with the crispy peanuts with a combined sweet, sour and spicy taste.

Do not bother, spent ยฃ50 on a takeaway only to get up the road and they had forgotten one of the mains they said I could come back to collect but by then everything else would be cold, and refused to deliver, so my daughter had to eat a frozen pizza when everyone else had what was barely edible of the takeaway, I will be as fair as I can be considering their awful customer service.

Szechuan beef was severely lacking in beef, although what was there was tough, if you love mushroom you should order this. 3/10

Chicken in black bean, probably the nicest dish there was although it was more of a black bean soup 5/10

Salt and chilli wings, soggy and tasteless 1/10

Saly and chilli ribs, these come battered which is just absolutely bizarre, it made them greasy and again tasteless. 1/10

Salt and chilli chips absolutely soggy and again tasteless, how can you make salt and chilli so bland? 1/10

Crispy chicken rolls, definitely crispy, definitely chicken(I hope so) definitely tasteless. 1/10

Fried rice, decent although lacked egg. 8/10

Chicken noodle soup, lots of soup very little chicken, although very tasty 8/10

Mixed curry(chicken and beef) I can only assume this would be heavenly going by the rest of the food, but since they DIDN'T BOTHER including it, I guess I will never know.

You owe us ยฃ7.90, absolute daylight robbery.

Avoid...

Very Disappointed Went with a friend who was treating me for a special occassion, and we were both extremely disappointed with the food. The chicken satay starter was in a bland sauce with only a hint of peanut to it.. My friend had lemon chicken for a main course, and although the sauce was fine, the chicken itself was very tough. I had the beef in red sauce Thai dish, and the sauce was one of the worst Ive ever tasted in that it was watery and tasted of nothing except coconut milk. To compound things, the beef itself was on the tough side, with the result that I struggled to eat one of the worst meals Ive ever had. At no time did any of the waiting staff ask us if our food was alright or I might have been tempted to tell them, despite the fact that my friend was treating me. The only reason I`m giving the restaurant two stars instead of one is because it has a really nice ambience and decor, and the staff all seemed pleasant enough when they served us. However, the chef that cooked our meal on Saturday 12th August needs serious retraining or this lovely restuarant may be in danger of...

We (my mum and I) stayed at Edinburgh Airport last Saturday (25th May 2024) ahead of a very early flight on Sunday morning. As we were deciding where to eat on Saturday evening, we found this restaurant and made the decision to try it...a decision certainly worthwhile! Upon arrival, it was incredibly busy with reservations, but the staff team were incredibly accommodating and were very efficient when juggling tables/seats around to fit us in! The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and kind during our visit and they went above and beyond with their service. Living in London, I'm a frequent visitor to Soho's Chinatown and hands down the food at this restaurant was arguably better than anything I've ever had in Chinatown. The bill was very reasonable in line with portion sizes and drinks... We are flying from Edinburgh Airport again in October...and we will certainly be paying another visit then. Thank you to the staff team for such a wonderful experience...and I cannot highly recommend this restaurant enough to anyone staying at the Airport and/or who...

I wanted a tasty, high quality Chinese and we chose to eat in tonight. This place has some parking and I was impressed with the look of the building and the clean fresh interior in traditional Chinese style decor. I had Kung Po Duck (left of my photo) and my parter had Chicken XO which is a house speciality (right of my photo). The food is high quality and packed with flavour. There was just enough heat across both dishes to satisfy the chilli fiend without being ferocious. The menu is varied and all the classics are there along with house specials. There is a good alcohol list and I enjoyed the selection of gins available. All in all I will be back and I would recommend this restaurant to others.

After being shown to our table the table service was prompt and efficient. Once we placed our food and drinks orders, it wasn't long until the food was on our table. Dinner plates were kept hot on washing base until for arrived. Once on the table the waiter served our fried rice on each of our plates. I had chicken Dr n and cashew nuts, which was delicious. My wife had pork and vegetables, again a very tasty dish. After dinner we both chose a desert with both amazingly presented. Overall it was a delightful experience. It was our first time dinning in n this restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant to those who like Chinese food.

The Chinese Manor is a lovely restaurant with several interesting dishes. Visited with a group of eight and we were all delighted with our choices. The Salt and Chilli Haggis starter is a mouth watering blend of East & West. ๐Ÿ˜‹ The Chef Speciality of XO King Prawn and fine green beans was fantastic too. The decor is pleasant and the seats nice and comfortable. Service is efficient but more importantly lovely and friendly. Definitely recommended.
