First of all, I am a big Pizza fan! When I travel, I am always in the hunt for a great pizza! So far, the best Pizza I’ve had was in a Sicilian Pizzeria in Paris. I had seen reviews about Civerinos on YouTube and I flagged it as a spot that I had to try. And wow!! I can easily say that it is within the top 3 pizza places I have ever tried! And I have had pizza in many places around the world! First of all, I really liked the choice of flavors that were offered. Each slice is massive! It’s the size of a 1/4 of a 20” pizza! So the first time I went there, I had two slices. I remember one of them being the Jalapeño & Chimichuri. Just from the smell itself, I know it would be amazing! And oh boy did it ever deliver!! I had taken my time eating the first slice that the second one got a little cold by the time I ate it. So it’s not fair to rate it based on that (the second slice). So I went back the next day to have two more slices. This time, I ordered one slice at a time to make sure that the second one was still hot. I tried another flavor for my first and then ordered again the Jalapeño & Chimichuri as the second one. It was just too good!! I saw the table around me ordering their truffle fries and some the mozzarella stick (more like a baseball bat) and they looked delicious!! I could not have eaten more after those two slices. Perhaps if I lived there, I would come back just to try their other items, but for the time I was there, I couldn’t go without sampling their pizza slices. Their pricing is pretty fair for what you get. I would 100% recommend Civerinos! Just typing this review is making me hungry!!!

Best vegan pizza I’ve had. We had a whole 20 inch Vegan Polpette and the cheese was incredible - not like any vegan cheese I’ve had on pizza before. Texture and consistency were spot on, stayed wet in the oven without crisping or drying out, melted well but was never ‘gluey’ like vegan cheese can get. Flavour was close to mozzarella and tasted great when cold too. The meat alternative on the top was really tasty and had lots of flavour with a really lovely texture. Service was fast and really good, food and drinks came out quickly and there was a great atmosphere inside. Was nice to see how busy they were on a Monday night as they clearly deserve it. So good we went back the next day and tried a vegan version of their Margherita which was perfect and simple, again the cheese was a huge winner. Three vegan options on the menu which was great to see from a non-vegan restaurant, would be amazing to see this expanded as they’ve clearly nailed the meat and cheese and would love to see how they can experiment further!

EDIT! Civerinos responded and acknowledged the issue and are looking for a resolution. Can't ask for more than that. What I'd like to re-emphasis though is that the food is great. I'll start off by saying that the food here is great. Had Civerinos loads of times. Issue is they are not family friendly at all. There's a sign outside stating they are, don't be fooled by it. If you have a baby or someone requiring a high chair forget it. . . Extremely disappointed with the service and one word answer from the manager. Obviously this isn't the first time he's been challenged 🤷♂️. What I will say though is its not all doom and gloom, there's a lovely pizza place on the grass Market called Mamma's. They are super friendly and hospitable. Food was great too! 👍 The sign would make perfect sense if they had somewhere to accommodate the kids that came out the buggies🤦♂️🤦♂️.

Photos don't do the size of these pizza slices or the portion of fries justice! When they arrived my friend said "that slice is literally half your body" and it actually was (didn't stop me from eating the whole thing though) Can't complain about the size or the flavour - the first bite was heavenly. The fries were addictive and we scranned the whole lot happily - plenty of garlic & parmesan on there. All that plus a drink for £10.34, great prices for Edinburgh City centre. Super busy being Fringe season, first come first serve for a table but we were literally waiting two minutes. Really friendly staff. Our food came within 5 minutes of being ordered, so super fresh & tasty. You can see them making the pizzas from scratch which I love for the authentic vibe. Can't fault - my favourite pizza place in Edinburgh! A MUST VISIT.

First time/last time here. I ordered a double pepperoni slice, a can of Coke and sat at an outdoor table. It took a while, which I didn’t mind. When the time came, they gave my order to someone else. Who ate it. When they realized the mistake, they made another…but it was rushed out and not fully hot (cold in the center/loads of unmelted cheese). I asked for them to heat it more and they returned it to me BURNT beyond being edible. It wasn’t particularly busy and makes me feel they burnt it out of passive-aggressive spite for asking. I took another bite and left it. Worst £9 I’ve ever spent on pizza or anything else.

Great place, amazing value for money especially if you get a pizza to share with friends. Slices are HUGE. I was fairly full in 2. One of my smallest friends managed 4 and we were all shocked. I was fairly iffy about the actual pizza topping at first because a lot of them seemed to have one weird ingredient or the other. Ended up with silence of the lambs, I hate peas and sweet potatoes or yogurt sounded weird but it ended up tasting amazing. I even had the peas. Also, I hear they do all you can eat slices 9pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday plus a pint all for 10 pounds. Absolutely steal.
