🍴🍳🥘🍲🥗👌😍🤤👍💯 Em's Kitchen is a hidden gem of a restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the cozy ambiance made me feel at home. The restaurant's decor was tastefully done and added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. The menu at Em's Kitchen was impressive with a wide variety of dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and a homemade touch. 😍 I decided to try the vegetable lasagna and it was delicious. The layers of pasta were cooked to perfection and the combination of vegetables, cheese, and tomato sauce was flavorful and satisfying. 🤤 I also tried their lentil soup, which was hearty and filling, and the perfect dish for a cold winter day. The staff at Em's Kitchen were friendly and attentive, making sure that we were happy with our food and had everything we needed. 👍 They were happy to accommodate any special requests and were knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients used in each dish. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Em's Kitchen and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a delicious meal. The quality of the food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the exceptional service make it a standout restaurant in the area. 💯

Lovely brunch spot, which really stands out with its lovely pink walls and pink flowers from the outside. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in and the service was super quick, drinks came within 5 minutes of ordering and the food about 10 minutes later. We both had the biscoff pancakes, and swapped the blueberries and strawberries for banana, which was no problem. They were absolutely delicious! Generous portion size indeed. The Nutella hot chocolate was also lovely and creamy. I would definitely come back for the service and the food. Only critique would be the decor and atmosphere inside. It was surprisingly quite and we felt as though we had to whisper to talk to each other, the tables are quite close together which was a bit uncomfortable. The furniture also looked a bit cheap (plastic chairs). However, I do understand that there is only a certain amount of space available. I think a little TLC with the indoor decor is all that is needed. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, especially the food, and we will definitely be back!

My visit to EM’s Kitchen in Edinburgh was a one-time experience, and unfortunately, I do not see myself returning. While the food was good, it did not leave a lasting impression or offer anything exceptional that would make me eager to come back. The flavors were decent, but they lacked the uniqueness or quality that sets a restaurant apart. The atmosphere was one of the highlights—pleasant, cozy, and well-suited for a relaxed meal. However, the service was disappointing. While I understand that the restaurant was busy, a welcoming attitude should never be compromised. Hospitality plays a crucial role in the dining experience, and a more attentive and friendly approach would have made a significant difference. That said, I can see why some might enjoy dining here, and I would still recommend it to others who might have a different experience. However, for me, this was a one-time visit, and I do not plan on returning.

Lucky to have had a couple of days in Edinburgh last week, stayed at Travelodge Central and found this gem of a cafe dead opposite. 2nd bit of luck??.. to enjoy breakfast here twice. Three adults and one very hungry teenager enjoyed French toast with Nutella and cinnamon; sourdough toast; pancakes with Nutella (bit of a theme of chocolate!!). I had bacon and haggis rolls on both days and Oh My Goodness, how good were they...so tasty. Great service, friendly staff , great menu. Great prices and value for money.

Stopped here for a quick bite and what a lovely and quirky little place it is. From the front it looks quite small but opens up around the back. There was a good selection of burgers, wraps and bagels and the food was tasty. …More

Don't usually leave poor reviews but feel this is necessary feedback. I got eggs royale and the bread was stale, poached eggs were cold, hollandaise sauce was definitely out of a tub, was cold, and I was given the most meagre tiny amount. There was a good amount of salmon but it wasn't really edible given the imbalanced amounts of ingredients and otherwise poor ingredients. Bit of a shame given it was so expensive, and if they're not going to bother making the sauce then at least give more than a speck of it. The servers were nice, but the girl who served us either didn't care about customer feedback or didn't speak enough English to understand what my comment of "is there anyone I can give feedback about the food to?", for which she gave the response "oh, no thank you", even when I reclarified what I meant, and when I asked if I could talk to someone else she just hurried us to pay. Despite it also being a cold Edinburgh autumn day, another member of staff also opened the back doors to "let more air in" after asking the people in the back room and us unanimously saying something along the lines of "no, we're chilly enough!", and her opening it anyway. Due to the cold winds we promptly became very cold and had to close the back doors ourselves. Decor was nice though, and...
