Etore's — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

I have been going here for the last 4 years to study and have breakfast, so I decided to take my mum this morning and we were left pretty disappointed. We both asked for full Scottish breakfasts, my mum asked for hers meat free and have tattie scones as a replacement. The food took a while to arrive, but the problem came after. My mums meat free full Scottish breakfast had black pudding and haggis with extra haggis, there was also only 1 fried egg when the menu says it is served with 2 eggs (the small breakfast is served with 1 egg). By the time my mum had given me all the haggis and black pudding she had 2 potato scones (mum asked for extra to compensate for no meat, ended up taking mine as well to make it 3 potato scones), 1 egg, beans, mushrooms and a tomato, and yet we still got charged for 2 full breakfasts. I was really looking forward to bringing my mum here but I think next time she visits Edinburgh we will...

Really nice bar, if you live in the gorgie/slateford/fountainbridge area and you want a nice place to just have enjoy some good drinks (excellent selection all round, good spirits, beers, wines,and most importantly, they have Fever Tree tonic ) with your mates without having your night disrupted by overly loud music or daft jakies then give it a go. (We enjoyed the 80's soundtrack)..Service was great, the girls serving were friendly and approachable . They also do really good & affordable cocktails. Their Old Fashioned is pretty decent. You can tell they are really committed to doing things right. One (minor) criticism: which didn't ruin my night but I would love to see for future; more bourbons. Good place and friendly staff. It seem to be a familiar atmosphere. The coffee was tasty and the staff tried to help where they can. The prices are also a bit cheaper then in the city centre. I live near the place but just visited for the first time. There is enough seats for everyone here. I will definitely come again and may be next time I can try some food too. Also the whole customers seemed to be friendly and felt well. I can recommend the place and the coffee too. Also very interesting is that I love coffee and mostly you dont get any biscuit this was the only place and yes its like a small cake but many other coffee houses don't add it to your cup.
