Next to the Water of Leith walkway, on short visit... Beautiful trees. Interesting and well tended plants in raised container beds, neatly designed and well maintained. Easily understandable and informative boards and maps where you might want them. Unlike some places, the information was interesting, relevant and not too much or too little. The gardens were very well maintained, seemingly no litter or dog poo, although general or recycling bins were not noticeable except at café. Four Squares Café was not cheap but seemed to provide decent drinks and snacks, with indoor and outdoor seating and toilets for all (did not use personally). Read moreA beautiful public garden in any seasons. Unfortunately, the garden is still closed due to current lockdown. But, you can still walk around as form of your exercise?. It has a large spaces, so possible to have a social distancing.
For me, this is one of the best places to visit in the city when lockdown is over and when the place is back open again.
It's accessible by buses and possibly by tram but you have to do a short walk. You can also pass this place when you are walking the water of Leith.
As mentioned above, any seasons is beautiful, but I personally like to see the tulips in spring and love the scent of roses in summer.
