By chance that this place was open so yeah, it's like the place to go.
At about 10am, we were heading towards Edinburgh Castle but the weather was too cold for us to handle... Hahahaha ... So after we parked the car, we walked around for a few minutes for photos, and we immediately decided to get something warm to drink instead.
Let's dive in.
Food: Pastries looked extremely attractive and appealing. We decided to buy some cookies which were definitely nice-tasting. A note, we did ask d contents before purchasing so it's up to you to verify, as Muslim travellers ya.
Service: Staff were very friendly and accommodative to us. Answered our queries very well and were patient with us. Just check out which cookies we took in the pix taken yah.. it's in jars
Atmosphere: Location of the shop is basically less than 5mins away from the Carpark of the base of Edinburgh Castle. The shop looked very welcoming and there we some board games that we could use to spend time with family/friends. They also have a coat stub to hang coats right beside the seats.
We enjoyed our time thoroughly here.. thank you to this place for opening early.. yayyy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted 2 Bougatsa, there was one on display. When I asked if there was any more, the response was ā its what you see hereā. I ordered one bougatsa and one ham/cheese pie. 5 minutes later, went back in to buy another pie for later and I see there was a fresh batch of bougatsa available. I tell the same girl ā you know, you could have told me there would be a new batch in 5 minutesā. She stares at me. I say, ā dont take it personally, I m just saying that would have been so much betterā. Her response ā i m not taking it personally, i wonder how many times a day i have to listen to the same stupid thing⦠you are buying it now anyway, what difference does it makeā. Real shame for the service from the young...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave been to this place a few times as my son is half Greek and also itās in town. One specific woman that works there and has been there for years, is extremely blunt and not friendly at all with us, to the point she wonāt even make eye contact, but with local Greek customers is a totally different person, chatty and friendly, why is this? The other store they have in Portobello is brilliant, they recognise us every time, are always happy and friendly, especially when we speak Greek. So beware of which coffee shop you choose, I know where I will stop going from now on. If I could give 0 star I would. Perhaps the owner should look into training their staff in customer service, as this is...
