During our trip to Edinburgh for personal matters, a good friend enthusiastically recommended Kikiās Coffee, raving about their homemade cakes and home-cooked goulash. Naturally, we couldnāt resist checking it outāand wow, were we in for a treat! From the very first bite, we were absolutely blown away. The cakes were on a whole other levelābursting with flavor yet perfectly balanced, never too sweet, just pure indulgence done right. And the coffee? Simply divine. Smooth, rich, and exactly what we needed. We loved it so much that we couldnāt stay away and went back the very next day. And as fate would have it, the soup of the day was Hungarian goulash. Oh. My. God. One spoonful, and we were in foodie heaven all over again! The depth of flavor, the cozy atmosphere, the warm and welcoming serviceāeverything was spot on.
Kikiās is an absolute gem, and weāre already counting down the days until our next visit to Edinburgh just to experience it all over again. If you havenāt been, go now! A thousand times over, weād...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited here for the 2nd time in a week today. First time we visited was because our usual go to cafe on leith walk was unexpectedly not open, so we popped in here and do glad we did! We were greeted with a warm welcome. My husband had a full breakfast and me a black pudding roll and each had a latte, both were freshly made and very enjoyable āŗļø When arranging to meet my friend for cuppa today, I suggested here. Again greeted with a warm welcome and good service. We both opted for avocado & egg on toast and a coffee- was the best avocado on toast we've had! Very tasty and poached eggs cooked to perfection š we were chatting away enjoying our coffee when the server brought us over a chocolate muffin and told us this is on the house! It was warmed up too - yum!!
Will defo be a regular now and would recommend š My only small gripe would be it's a small place, so if looking for privacy it's not ideal, but that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, Kikiās Cafe located in Leith area of Edinburgh. This cute little cafe is one of the hidden gems to have popped up in the last few months. The interior is lovely which from a passing eye fails to do the place justice. The homely atmosphere really comes to life once you cross the threshold and venture inside. The most important aspect is the food with each of the menu items being freshly made. If one wishes to have lunch then the Hungarian Goulash, made by the owner and every bit as delicious and authentic as Iāve had in Hungary is a must. There is a great selection of homemade cakes if one wishes to just sit and chat over a coffee with a friend. I did both and was there so long Kiki was well within her rights to charge me rent. I strongly recommend paying this place a visit, you wonāt be...
