Phatt Fellas — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Attended opening day and as I was one of the first 100 customers I received a free cheese steak. The restaurant has a great looking menu and all the food looks incredible including the ny roll (doughnuts). The bread, thin rib eye steak and cheese was fantastic quality and tasted delicious the steak melts in your mouth and the cheese and caramelised onion was all balanced very well in a crispy warm sub roll.

We did arrive ten minutes before the grand opening and waited an hour and a half for food. It would’ve been wise to prep more of the food in advanced as there were at least 100+ attending each waiting the same some longer than us. However, it was opening day and things don’t always go to plan. The free delicious cheesesteak made it all worth it.

Will be returning as this is a fresh and tasty addition to Edinburghs usual takeaway scene....

Went on the day of the opening and got the Neighbourhood Original, safe to say it was good but nothing mind blowing as I expected more but it was underwhelming, nice flavours and all but the bread was soggy. The service was great and so was the atmosphere!

EDIT: Went for another visit the other day, got the same neighbourhood original and the lotus dessert. The sandwich was miles better at the opening surprisingly, and the lotus dessert wasn’t fresh at all! Been sitting there at least for a couple of days.

The only thing good about the place is the freshness and quality of the meat is superb so are the staff, but when it comes to flavour it doesn’t do the job as expected at all.

Overall very underwhelming experience considering youre paying...

Soo, first time trying a philly steak and it was nice although I couldn't help but think it could have been a bit better but maybe that's just me! The service was amazing and there wasn't much to be said about the atmosphere all the staff were really helpful and cheery so very welcoming. I watch these foodie bloggers trying out these steaks and they seem to make them look more enjoyable and I managed to miss that kind of moment here although there wasn't anything wrong and everything was well above acceptable. Definitely a place to try out and guaranteed you will enjoy it like I did. The decor is fitting and very vibrant and alive. Can't really ask for more from this establishment. Well done and I will be back soon...
