This is a good option for its price (I have 770 pounds per month for a person with one room with all amenities) because here you have a shower, toilet, your own table with all amenities such as light, sockets and cabinets. The kitchen is shared and it is large even taking into account if two of you cook at the same time and I am not saying that you can easily invite your friends (of course, if you discuss this with your roommates, but I have never had any problems with this). If you keep a little cleanliness, then you will not have any problems with the administration, they respond quickly here and you will always have a schedule of when they work (sometimes they can help you even at night), and their visit will be notified a few days before the visit, so you can not worry about unexpected visits to your room or kitchen. It is always clean here, and in the summer there is generally good nature and a sports ground nearby + a store 5 minutes walk away, and the university is 20-30 minutes walk away, although you can take a bus. What I didn't like was that at night if you live on the first floor you can feel through the kitchen how people in the smoking area are smoking drugs, which is not a good thing. But otherwise you won't have to worry about paying (you can make a subscription and not worry) and other financial hassles, even if you don't pay something on time, you will be treated with respect and understanding. Stayed here as summer accommodation for 4 nights with a group of 17 split into 3 different flats.

Liked the facilities. Own room with en suite toilet, basin and shower, decent bed, desk, chair and enough storage space. Liked the communal kitchen/living room. Good location.

Able to drop bags off on arrival and call security to check in after reception closed. They needed to make fresh keylocks up and were really helpful.

I heard "dead man's click" as the bedroom door closed and locked with the key inside at 10pm one night. A call to security and they came 10 mins later and checked the key still worked.

Very helpful on checking out as we were able to leave the bags in the storage area for the day.

The WiFi wasn't so good but when you're at the Fringe all day and catching up with people after that doesn't matter so much.

Great location, plenty of places to eat or pick up food to self-cater locally, close to Haymarket station, plenty of buses to & from the centre if required, not far to walk if not. Good pool 2 mins away.

worst accommodation. the wifi was never working. it would constantly go down multiple times per day. major problem for students, even though the entire flat and multiple floor complained, they claimed to fix it and never did over the course of the whole semester. 1 of our fridges broke, 9 people in 1 fridge. my bathroom fan and light stopped working twice. one flat mates room flooded with water from ceiling. our kitchen circuit went out multiple times (no microwaves, toaster, fans etc) the worst mattress ive ever slept on, you can feel hard springs at all times and induces major back pain. laundry is rarely open and over priced. rooms are tiny. all of this for quite a premium price at such a cheaply made flat and establishment. extremely...
