I played this course in the middle of March 2025 and it's definitely a hidden gem of the Edinburgh courses. On first impressions, pulling in to the car park you can easily be mistaken that it will be a small unimpressive course but when you tee off on the 3rd and see the contour of the fairway curving out of sight to the right you know the course has a good bit to offer. When I first arrived, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman in the pro shop that took time to explain the layout, which tees I could play and even asked where I usually play and what brought me to the course. After a terrible first tee, in front of the group waiting to tee off after me, I managed to get some distance between us and pace of play throughout was decent for a weekend. The day started off quite foggy and a bit gloomy but after around 6 holes the sun made an appearance and the views around the course were fantastic. The greens had just been sanded but were still quite playable. As the course goes around in a big circuit rather than playing back to the pro shop for the 9th then playing the back 9 away again, the views are different on each fairway. I'm down Edinburgh quite often for prosthetics so try to play different courses when I'm there but I will definitely be playing this course again and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to play...

Tourist review. Course is about 15 min drive from Waverly Station. Very friendly staff. I rented clubs which were a mixed TaylorMade M4/Sims irons and stealth woods. Course layout is fairly straight and forgiving. Easy walkable course. Fluffy sand bunkers. Greens were in good shape. Pace of play was under 4hrs and that was with a 5-min wait after the 4th hole. I was a single between two 2-somes. What was strange was that neither groups would pair up with one another. Note that we were all the same skill level. The 2 some behind me (*locals) said they were in a hurry and asked to play through, which we did. In the end, those same guys were still at the clubhouse. Another bonus is the Summer months allows 15 hrs of sunlight. I would definitely recommend this course if you wanted a break from sightseeing. I assume they were locals after they departed in their own vehicles...

Excellent food, beautiful surroundings and excellent service. A place for a special treat. Went for lunch( again...): set lunch ( with choice from three dishes at each course) 3 courses at £34. May sound expensive, but for this quality it is not.

Had smoked salmon, pheasant then home-made Christmas pudding. Portions may look small, but they are more than enough. Especially as the food is so tasty, with interesting well-chosen accompaniments.

Lovely setting in parkland/golf adjacent. (Follow your sat nav as it’s tucked away in a suburban street.) Staff are superb - warm welcome. All that was missing was a glass of wine...( thank you, Nicola S!!) Justifiably popular. Good attention to anti-Covid precautions. Highly...

I highly recommend this course. My son and I were in town for a few days with the family and wanted to break off for a round nearby. The club was accommodating, had quality rental clubs available for us both (he's a lefty), and even got us on the course before our scheduled time! Scott and Ben in the pro shop were both incredibly nice and helpful. We had a great time. The course was in very good condition and played straight up; no gimmicks. A fair test of golf for any level of golfer. We would definitely play here again should we visit the city in the future. The cost for everything was very reasonable. And we had a great lunch in the clubhouse on-site when it was over. Great memories and great day!
