Hidden gem off of the Royal Mile! This is the exact vision I had in my mind of finding a little coffee shop with scrumptious looking cakes and goodies in Edinburgh:) it’s a little tricky to find, we know this because we went back a second time during our week stay in Edinburgh - that’s how good it was. The minute you walk in the door, you realize you don’t want to leave this place. The coffee was phenomenal, but the star of the show was definitely the freshly baked goods…the slices of cake were too good to be true! As a child my Scottish mom would always make us tablet at the holidays and lo and behold - I found homemade tablet ice cream at this coffee shop!! Who knew??!! The girls at the counter were super sweet and working hard… I promised them I’d write a review once I got back to the USA so here it is… I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was...

✨️Came here for a sandwich and cake before a bus tour we had booked. Really lovely little cafe nestled just behind one of the busy old town streets. Sandwich,coffee and cake were delicious ! I had the pistachio cookie, which was to die for ! Really recommend coming here to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Can I give a shout-out to the guy working there who handled a really rude American lady who wasn't happy with the till being down for a few minutes and was just generally rude to him. I nearly said something myself to her, but he handled it really well even though she was huffing and puffing. If you dont like it, go somewhere else! There's no need to be rude to staff and always say please, and thank you!
