I usually come here for lunch 2/3 times a month and get a coffee sandwich and a cake. Always been served by a guy absolutely amazing! Really fast and always nice to have a chat with. Today I went and there was a girl (I'd imagine new...), no chatty at all (which for some people could be good but working in hospitality, not what you would expect), absolutely slow (took her 15 mins to serve me). Coffee tastes horrible and is cold and my focaccia is cold too. Really not happy with today's service. But apart of today, always been extremely happy with everything. Such a lovely place. Read moreThe Coffee Cave is one of my favorite finds in Edinburgh! It’s in a great location with even greater coffee and vibes. The black pudding sausage roll was also one of the best things I ate in Edinburgh, I ordered it three days in a row! The best part of the experience is the staff - Ali, one of the owners and a fantastic barista, was so friendly when my aunt and I would come in each morning during our visit and check in with our plans and give thoughtful recommendations for our trip. The coffee (and I’ve tried them all) is top, top quality; I wonder why anyone would choose the likes of Starbucks or Costa when ‘The Coffee Cave’ beats them hand down. The food is delightful, great savouries (and sweets) at a fair price. Cleanliness standards are extremely high & staff are most certainly 'Covid Secure'.
