Fantastic food, my first fish and chips in the UK and it was so good that I came back the next day to get my first Haggis Neeps and Tatties in Scotland! Both were delicious. beer was very good as was the Cullen Skink. Wonderful service, friendly staff; I can't recommend this place highly enough. The lunch special 3 course meal is a great deal!

A few doors down from our hotel, we stopped in for a drink. Had one of the best times ever!!! Live Scottish music by KJBmusicmakers was so much fun. Everyone was so friendly. We sang, we drank and we met some really great people!!!

Great pub! Filled with locals right in the center of the city. There were a group of people playing traditional folk music, great atmosphere with very friendly staff. The space is small and thus helps to the atmosphere.

My friend and I popped into this pub hoping to get a drink. After walking to the back of the room we realised there was no available seats so we went to head out. On our way out, the bartender shouted out to us, saying that we were rude and should have more manners. Confused, we asked him what we had done to which he said something we couldn’t understand. He then proceeded to follow us outside, pointing at a sign that said “toilets for customers only”- to which I explained we had not used but that we had just been looking for a seat. He refused to listen and shooed me outside. It was a very unpleasant experience for us and we were embarrassed- not to say the pub isn’t nice, it seemed lovely, just that the bartender with the dark hair and beard was incredibly rude and...

Went into this bar today , ordered a pint each and sat at window , chatted away with my friend , decided to stay and have another for the road , asked for a drink and were told " not allowed to serve us , shocked i said " eh what do you mean ? To be told " thats exactly why ! , now we did not speak or interact with anyone apart from ordering a drink , absolutly disgusting attitude , of course i am going to be shocked at that attitude when i order a drink , you give edingirgh a bad name , guess thats what happens when tourists pay yer bills , you can afford to be rude and dam right insulting to 2 lassies sitting in the corner bothering no one , ps can only post if i give a star rating , so ill give a star for the rudest ,arrogant, no up to much pub ive...

We visited in May and this was such a great little pub i had to leave a review. Hebrides is a small pub with a great atmosphere! We had just arrived in Edinborough after traveling all day when we went looking for a place to relax and have a beer. Despite our accents giving us away as American tourists, we were warmly welcomed by the bartender and locals as well. After swapping bar tales and laughs, we were even treated to a round by the customers. We desperately wanted to go back for another visit but just ran out of time. If I'm ever fortunate enough to travel back to Edinborough, this place will be my first...
