Have been here a couple of times and previously thought it was really nice but I was really unimpressed with the quality of the ice cream this time (which is also pretty overpriced @ £4.60 for a 2 scoop tub plus 60p for a topping). My partner also felt the flavours were incredibly bland. It honestly reminded me of carte d'or - really didn't have that home made taste. I also got a fudge stick which was as tough as old boots (left out for too long, out of date perhaps). The girl serving was pleasant enough but when I asked for hot fudge sauce she said 'we don't do it' and offered me biscoff instead. I pointed out that hot fudge is advertised on the board behind her and she said she wasn't able to use hot equipment. I understand, but felt that she seemed pretty unsupported (only one working there, large queue on a rare sunny day). Perhaps thats why she wasn't entirely frank. All in all we were left feeling a bit ripped off. Will stick to Lucas and Alandas in future. Please do some taste and quality...
Read moreThe staff here are incredibly well organised and super helpful!
Went in hoping to get ideas for ice creams for my wedding and the shop was very busy as it was a nice day, was happy to stand and try 2 or 3 but the staff insisted we sit down and took the time splitting their time between getting samples of ice cream for us to try and serving the customers (which they managed perfectly with no complaining and absolute genuine friendliness!)
The ice cream itself is brilliant and the wide selection available has given us a bit of a headache in choosing what flavours we want at the wedding, but it's a headache I am more than happy to have given how amazing the ice cream and the experience was!
Finished the samples off by getting a cone with a scoop of Ferry Berry and a scoop of Honeycomb which was an awesome way to round off my experience and the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful day.
I will be going out my way to go there in future for the ice cream again, no...
Read moreI’ve been to The Little Parlour before and always had really friendly service and great flavours and scoops, however on this occasion the two girls were almost disdainful and (it may be due to the season) but the only flavours we were told were available were the ones on show roughly 9/60, which was not our expectation and we were looking forward to the Iron Brew in particular, the servers seemed bored and couldn’t be bothered in offering any help or advice and retorted back to a fair question in a snide way, at £4.50 for 2 scoops we were hoping for a little more than a taste but we genuinely weren’t sure if it was worth spending the money after, while the ice cream itself was nice there was very little to taste. There was a rude atmosphere from the two girls. Overall a negative experience and we were disappointed. Hopefully next time...
