Lovely looking pub , really good atmosphere and fine selection of drinks but what destroyed it for me was a particular member of bar staff a blonde haired girl with glasses who when serving me thought it was a crime for me to have to ask for a glass and ice to pour my bottle of cider into and then unfortunately I was plagued by her again when my fish and chips order was delivered by her non welcoming face - I’m still waiting for my cutlery - she dumped it on the table then strode off- so all in all looked like a great bar - the fish and chips were exceptional albeit I had to eat them with my hands - my son ordered earlier and was given great service from someone else- my cider was a bottle dumped on the bar - so I’d say great food great atmosphere but whoever employed grumpy blonde girl - we’ll i left when otherwise I’d have stayed for the night - if you avoid her I’m sure you’ll have a good night - me I’m now deflated after scotlands historic win over Australia- such a dampener on a great day I opted for a carryout and...

Easily the best pub on Easter Road, and one of the top in Leith.

Compared to previous incarnations - this place is a dream. If you'd been to "whatever it was before" and have an impression based on that - go again. You can thank me later :)

Some brilliant whiskeys and wines, staff that know their stuff but aren't pushy about it. They'll bend the rules if you want a J-weed without the stupid glass it comes with, which is a plus in my book.

Gets pretty busy after 5 most days, especially on weekends. And if the football is on then you're not likely to get a seat, but you won't need one as the banter will be top.
