I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Original Mosque Kitchen , and let me tell you, it was an experience worth raving about! As a lover of biryani and chickpea dishes, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable. However, what truly sets this establishment apart is its commitment to a good cause, as all the profits are dedicated to supporting the local mosque.

From the moment I stepped into the cafe, I was greeted with warmth and attentive service. The staff, always sporting genuine smiles, went out of their way to ensure that every guest felt welcome and comfortable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and readily offered recommendations based on personal preferences, making the dining experience all the more personalized.

Now, let's talk about the food! The biryani is simply outstanding. Each grain of rice is perfectly cooked and fragrant, layered with tender pieces of meat, and infused with a harmonious blend of spices that excite the taste buds. The flavors were well-balanced, and the use of fresh ingredients was evident in every bite. It was clear that they took great pride in their culinary creations.

Equally impressive was the chickpea dish with naan bread- a harmonious blend of mouthwatering flavors and textures. The chickpeas were cooked to perfection, creating a comforting and hearty dish that left me craving for more. It was a true reflection of the skill and passion that the chefs put into their cooking.

What makes this dining experience even more gratifying is knowing that every pound spent at goes towards supporting the local mosque. This heartfelt commitment to giving back to the community makes the delicious food taste even better. It's heartwarming to know that your culinary adventure is contributing to a worthy cause.

In summary, The mosque kitchen is a hidden gem that combines exquisite flavors, exemplary customer service, and a sense of purpose. Whether you're a fan of biryani, chickpeas, or simply appreciate good food with a good cause, this restaurant won't disappoint. Treat yourself to a flavorful journey while contributing to the betterment of the community; it's an experience that leaves both your taste buds and your...

If you walk to the right of the Mosque, you will be greeted by The Original Mosque Kitchen, which is an absolute gem. From the relaxed tranquil atmosphere, to the delicious food, whether you are Muslim, Non Muslim, with Family or by yourself, I highly recommend you to visit, take a seat, and immerse yourself in the culinary delights that are on offer!

Very clean, outstanding flavours served with friendliness and a smile, you cannot go wrong with this place, trust me.

This is the sort of place where you could eat, relax, and then realise 4 hours has just passed by, in what feels like 10 minutes, 😂

I cannot praise this place enough, I absolutely loved visiting, and any time I come back to Edinburgh, this would be top of my visiting priorities.

God bless all who are involved in serving the community what I would describe as top tier cuisine, in a beautiful serene...

The Original Mosque Kitchen is a pretty good place for some lunch in Edinburgh! #Halal The portions here are great and the prices are less than 10 GBP, making it an affordable option for a satisfying meal. We tried the rice with chicken korma, which was pretty good, and the Monday special of rice with chicken dopiaza, which was also quite enjoyable. Another dish we tried was the rice with lamb bhuna, which was decent. My favorite thing that we had was the naan with chicken shish kabob. While the naan itself wasn't great and tasted like dough, the kabob was absolutely fantastic and stood out as the best item we tried. Overall, The Original Mosque Kitchen is a great spot for affordable, delicious Indian kinda style cuisine. Please note that there are two "Mosque Kitchens", so it can be confusing to find the right one. And I'm not sure how the other one tastes like.
