Honestly where to start. Save yourself the time and just avoid this place.
You're still considering the visit? Let me break down my experience. Came here as it seemed nice and was on my walk. Came in and it was rather busy but I found a table. The table still had plates and cups so I put them to the side. Went to the till, the person at the front asked me "How can I help?" Then proceeded to ignore my order while she did something else. I waited and she then asked "Sorry what was that?" In the most uninterested tone. So I repeated my order and went to my table. They dropped off the drinks and didn't pick up the old plates or wipe the table down. I asked if I could get some sugar and the staff member rolled their eyes at me. They dropped the sugar and I said thanks yet still didn't acknowledge my existence. I had to take the old plates to the front myself and they didn't even acknowledge my existence then, not even looked up (the till was empty not like they were too busy to say something or acknowledge my existence).
Staff are unfriendly rude and just seem to rather be anywhere but there. I looked at some reviews after leaving and it seems this isn't uncommon for many others. Some reviewers even seemed to highlight a relationship between treatment and ethnicity but I didn't stay long enough to find out if it was because of my darker skin tone or a general attitude. To give some credit some staff I observed were friendly just unfortunately none that interacted with...

Read moreThis cafe had the potential to be a cozy, laid-back spot, but unfortunately, the poor staff attitude and subpar food quality brought the experience down significantly.
The cafe itself is on the smaller side, but has a nice ambiance. The staff, however, seemed disinterested and unwelcoming, even glaring at customers for simple requests like asking for sugar. The unfriendly demeanor created an unpleasant atmosphere, making you feel unwanted rather than in a relaxed, "cozy" environment.
The food itself was also a letdown. The avocado toast, which should be a simple yet delicious staple, was a disappointment. The avocado was ok, but the poached egg was over-cooked, with absolutely no seasoning or flavoring. It was essentially inedible. While the breads seemed fresh, the execution was severely lacking.
Even the drinks fell short – the coffee here is just up to a simple standard without any surprise, but I expect much more than this for a shop proud of its coffee.
Overall, this cafe has a lot of potential given its quaint size and setting. However, the combination of grumpy staff and poor food quality utterly ruined the experience. At the premium prices charged, it's simply not worth a visit if you have...
