We had a lovely evening at Moto Pizza celebrating friends’ joint birthdays. This restaurant is fantastic and never fails to impress and satisfy one’s pizza cravings.
For £18.50 (dinner and weekends) or £13.50 (Tuesday-Friday lunch 12-4pm) you can enjoy bottomless pizza brought to your table, with a wide range of varied and interesting pizza toppings alongside more classic options such as Margherita and Pepperoni. Dips are charged as extra, however chilli oil is available on the table to add a bit of heat to your pizza.
The staff are friendly and attentive, bringing round a different pizza flavour every five minutes or less. There is a green glass bottle on the table with fairy lights inside, this can be switched on and off to indicate to the staff when you would like to be offered pizza.
I tried a range of pizza toppings on this visit including cheesy garlic bread, other flavours available included Bolognese, Pulled Pork and pizzas garnished with rocket and mascarpone on top.
Dessert pizzas are also available for an extra charge, these consisting of Nutella and Biscoff pizzas with mini marshmallows which have been enjoyable when tried previously.
If you are a fan of pizza this restaurant is a must try. I went to Gordon Ramsay’s Pizza Street in London a few years ago, the pizza at Moto Pizza is hands down the nicer pizza...
Read moreI am so glad there isn't one of these closer to me, it would not be good for my health! This place was recommended to us by friends who leave nearby. It was brilliant. They use that model of having a green light on the table if you want to be offered food, and you can turn it off if you want to stop/have a break. At first, I wasn't sure how well it would work as I worried that we wouldn't actually end up eating much as it's slower than just being able to load up your plate at the food bar. HOWEVER, this was a great approach as all of the slices were fresh and hot from the oven! We were extremely impressed with how many options there were, and that the toppings were different from your typical pepperoni, margherita etc. The toppings were also very generous! We were gobsmacked that it was only £12.50 each (for lunch time). I also ordered a separate biscoff pizza, small. When they brought it out, I was convinced that they'd made a mistake and brought me a large. It was huge! A normal restaurant would have charged £6 for a quarter of that thing, max, but this was £6 for the whole thing...I think it was a full 12" pizza. It was also absolutely covered in biscoff sauce. Again, places often skimp a bit on the toppings, but definitely not here!
I'm only upset that we couldn't manage a trip...
Read moreMoto Pizza in Colchester is a fun and modern dining experience that’s great for pizza lovers. The “unlimited pizza” concept is very appealing, you pay a set price, and their team brings out a rotation of freshly baked slices straight to your table. It’s a fantastic way to try different flavours, from the classics like margherita to more creative options. The crust is light and crispy, and the ingredients taste fresh and high-quality. The atmosphere is casual and trendy, with a cool, industrial style interior that gives it a relaxed vibe. It’s ideal for a casual dinner with friends and family or a laid-back date night.
The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the service. While the staff were polite, the service was noticeably slow, even before the place got busy. There were longer than expected gaps between rounds of pizza. It’s understandable during peak hours but should be better when there is fewer people, it did take away slightly from the overall experience.
That said, I would definitely come back. The food is great, the concept is fun, and I love that it offers something a little different in...
