To be fair, let's separate this. We stayed in the rooms above Johhny Doughs and ate in the pizza place below. Our room was tired, and it needs some good tlc. The carpet needs a good clean, as do the hallway carpets. The window opens but doesn't stay open, so you ha e to prop it up with a coffee mug. The main light in the bathroom is broken. The shower head doesn't fit the holder, so you would have to be 7 feet tall to catch the spray. This could be so much nicer. The pizza. Omg, so so good. The team were great. Special mention to Kate. Great smile and greeting. We sat down at 8.45pm, tables were dwindling and the team you could see were tired. We order a cranberry juice and a pint of house lager. The lager is a bit wishy washy, nothing special. Olives ordered, a margarita pizza and a goats cheese pizza. The pizza is good. Well topped and cooked properly. A bit of seasoning would make it perfect. I ordered a side salad but that didn't arrive. There was no ice cream. James (assuming he was the manager) told us the freezer had broken some time ago. All in all a good visit. Wasn't a great night sleep but hey ho. The whole place, pizza restaurant and rooms are shouting out for investment. I know times are tough, but some fixes are easier and cheap to do. I would go back and eat.

BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD AND SUPERB SERVICE, A GEM OF A PLACE TO EAT👌 It was pretty late on a busy Thursday night and after trying all other places in the area, this was the most welcoming; and what a delight it was! We were greeted so well by all the staff, and graciously looked after by Cadi, who may well be the hardest-working, polite and WONDERFUL waitress I've ever encountered. Really makes for a memorable and worthwhile experience, thank you! The food was AMAZING, we ordered the sheep shish kebab, and the smoked haddock pizza and both were spot-on. The textures were INCREDIBLE, nice and crispy, and the flavours were aromatic and DELICIOUS. I believe it's got something to do with their thin bases, local fresh ingredients and their expert use of the wood-fired ovens.🔥 Thank you, guys, you totally smashed it, 100% for food, quality, atmosphere, and service. BRILLIANT 👏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friendly and welcoming staff. The young lady that waited on us was polite professional and a great example to the business. We arrived at around 6:30pm on an evening without a booking, they are busy but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. Simple menu, great atmosphere and a nice building. Unfortunately our table was really sticky, it took around 25mins for our pizzas to arrive and around 15mins to be served our drinks, I suspect this was because of how just they were. There was an issue with one of the pizzas but they fixed this right away which was brilliant to see. Overall the food was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxed and staff were great. Would visit again next time we're in the area. My only real complaint is that the drinks were a little bit on the expensive side (almost £3 for a can of pop)

Busy but really comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. We we really hungry and didn’t want allot of fuss and waiting around . Johnny Doughs worked out perfectly for us . We had not booked ahead yet despite being busy we were soon seated and had our order taken by a cheerful , helpful and really polite waitress. Our drinks and pizza came without us hardly noticing a wait and both were really delicious. One meat feast and one vegan fajita , wonderful crispy bases with tasty well prepared toppings. We loved the experience from the friendly welcoming to the great service and excellent food. This place has it nailed, a simple yet exciting menu delivered quickly and professionally with taste and a smile . Superb ! Please note : we did not stay at Johnnys so cannot comment on the rooms.

The pizza: Slight flop, but that's to be expected from a thin woodfired pizza with so many toppings, so no complaint there. The dough is perfectly cooked through, crispy and easy to chew. The toppings are fresh. And always have been on every visit. The chicken in particular, obviously fresh and effortlessly falls apart in your mouth. Served better than restaurants that specialize in chicken dishes.. I've also had the Peking Duck pizza before and that's had always very fresh toppings. The staff are very friendly and table service is very good. The attention to your table is just right. You get your drinks upon arriving and pizzas very shortly after ordering, even when they're packed busy. Also. If you like to try abit of spice, ask to try the Hot sauce!
