We - a small local business - have used Hobbs on a number of occasions for lunchtime sandwiches and baguettes. I don't believe any of us has anything but praise for the food itself, but extricating it from them in a timely fashion is virtually impossible. Mistakes are made with recording our 'phoned-in' requirements, even though we always advise this clearly. Then; when we arrive to collect our lunch, and the mistakes are highlighted, we're met with disapproving looks and gruff comments with no-one taking ownership of the matter and never an apology. Read moreWe stopped in here to pick up coffee and treats for my two young kids and two elderly parents. As we paid a brief rainstorm hit the town - sheeting rain, nearly horizontal. As we stood for 30s working out what to do the woman behind the counter very rudely asked we leave as she had other customers. There was ONE other customer and plenty of space. I understand that COVID regulations are in place but we were wearing masks whilst the other customer was not. We pointed out the young kids and elderly adults but we were still ushered out.
