I was incredibly excited to eat here as the interior looks beautiful, and the menu seemed very exciting. I occasionally work from Tetbury and am always excited to explore new restaurants and share them on my socials, so popped in on my lunch break to check it out. I did ask if there was WiFi as I like to keep an eye on emails while eating, I was told there was no WiFi, which was absolutely fine, so the lovely waitress directed me to a nice table close to the garden area. As I was getting comfortable, and within the first 60 seconds of me sitting down, the general manager (I assume it was) walked over to say “before you get too comfortable, we have a 30 minute laptop limit”. I found this quite rude considering I had just sat down, hadn’t ordered anything or even taken my laptop out of its case….I was also one of the very few customers at the time (I think one of 2 or 3 tables in total), so I didn’t really understand the issue, especially when they had no public WiFi so I would be using my own hotspot. I completely understand this policy, and welcome it wholeheartedly, but there is a time to let customers know about this, and that definitely wasn’t it, especially that I would have been out in less than 30 minutes. I have worked from Tetbury a few times this year and have explored multiple restaurants and cafes who have all been nothing but kind and accommodating, even those that have been far busier than this restaurant today. After this interaction, I didn’t feel particularly welcome, nor did I want to spend money there, so I left and went to another restaurant where I would feel more welcome. I would like to point out that I cannot comment on the quality of the food here, as I unfortunately never got to try it. All other members of staff were nothing short of lovely . I do sincerely hope that the general manager has a think about this, as he has potentially scared off a 5 star review, and it’s just poor etiquette and hospitality in my personal opinion.

Have been visiting the Blue Zucchini whenever we’re in Tetbury over the last four years. A few years ago it was nice, good vibe, dog friendly, quirky and cool but last summer they raised their game with the food and it was pretty damn good, this year it is FANTASTIC. We have now visited three times during this years 5 night stay. Two vegetarians cannot get enough and joyfully couldn’t decide what to choose between …which makes a big change from most places. Highlights were Persian Cake, flapjack, my macchiato, mozzarella sticks, halloumi fajita, and the halloumi and avocado burger. My non veggie steak ciabatta was tasty but a little chewy in places, so not so fantastic but we had so much food it didn’t matter as I couldn’t eat it all anyway and the dog got lucky. Yes its a little pricey, we’re in Tetbury dahhhling, EVERYTHING is. I thought it was worth every penny for the two delighted vegetarians to finally stop banging on about lack of choice …. Don’t tell anyone but I had to buy two huge pieces of Persian cake to take home and I’m going back for more tomorrow.

The layout and atmosphere of the place was great and gave us the impression that this would be followed by quality service and food… it turned out to be quite disappointing. The waitresses were rather brute and the food was shocking considering the price! I ordered a cheese board that came to the cost of £14.95, tell me why I only got 3 slices of Tesco bought cheese with 4 crackers and unwashed grapes, all of which looked like it had just been thrown on the plate? Additionally, we bought slices of cake that cost £4.95 that just tasted of pure sugar, and a very watered down kombucha for the price of £5. For the extortionate price we paid for few items I was expecting quality to follow with the presentation and taste of the food: expectations were not met and feelings of disappointment replace those of satisfaction.

Twice I’ve been here with my baby (6 weeks old) and have felt really unwelcome. The first time myself and friends were hidden away in a corner at the front of the cafe in a cramped table next to loud speakers playing music and no attempt was made whatsoever to accommodate us, the airing staff were pretty steely faced too.

The second time my baby and I came with a friend and I asked specifically to be seated in the main cafe area so that I could enjoy my brunch (this was after being offered the secluded table again) and I was told I couldn’t bring my pram as it would “get in the way of 5 other tables” so I said I would dismantle the pram, which seemed to annoy the waitress who I assume was the owner too. Again zero attempt was made to even offer to help me while I was carrying a car seat, pram and bag. I said I was waiting for a friend and I was asked to order three times within 10 minutes after explaining I wanted to wait for a friend.

There are baby changing facilities so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume there would be small babies in the place. My baby was settled and asleep the whole time so wasn’t disruptive whatsoever. It’s a shame that I’ve had such bad experiences at this place as they would do well to be more welcoming and friendly to people coming to eat and drink.

Wouldn’t recommend going near here with any babies or even more...

Very disappointed. Visited 1pm on Saturday for a table of 4, and was felt as if we were an inconvenience to the staff. Told to sit at the bar and wait for a table to be available (despite 2 reserved tables of 4 sitting empty). No menu to look at or a drink offered. Waited 20 mins to be seated, then we waited another 15 mins for a menu. We had to ask several times if we could place an order, and not once did the staff apologise for the wait. After 30 mins of waiting for food, we asked how much longer, and apparently we shouldve been told it was an hour wait for food from ordering. If we had known this initially we would've gone elsewhere and not sat/ordered. Tables around us were given free snacks on arrival due to wait, we were not. Manager did give us a few bowls of nuts/pretzels - but no apology for wait. Food came 1hr45 since arriving, it was OK, still no acknowledgement for the wait. Manager then scuttled over with a bag of stale pastries as a sorry but no verbal apology. The manager was also extremely over familiar, constantly touching your shoulder/back as she interacted with you/the table - very uncomfortable. They apparently had new staff that day but wouldn't come back and...
