Visited recently and purchased a sausage roll and some cakes. The sausage roll was very large indeed and tasty - priced at £5.50 so top end pricing. High proportion of meat to pastry. The cakes I purchased looked very appealing, but it was unfortunate that their attractive looks were not lived up to in terms of taste. The lemon and blueberry bun didn't taste of lemon or blueberry - had I not seen the label I would not have known it was fruit flavoured. The chocolate orange tiffin was quite bland and lacked any orange flavour also. I was offered a carrier bag at the checkout and was surprised to have been charged 30p for this, given the already premium pricing...
Read moreSausage Roll is quite poor quality for how much it costs. Very bland flavour, and has a cheap, saturated fat taste to it. No spicing or herb flavours whatsoever. Compared to a Hobbs House sausage roll, I was really disappointed, especially as the Hobbs quality is much higher at a significantly lower cost.
Also, the Chickpea Coronation panini had very little chickpeas, and was mostly mayonnaise.
The place looks and feels great, but the quality is lacking and costs far too much.
