In summary, it was not what we expected and left us quite disappointed.

Service: We started the experience quite poorly as the lady who greeted us was very unhelpful and didn’t present the business in a good light. Neither of us were even asked about dietary requirements likely because there was no time between us being seated and the lady fleeing from sight. We were also seated in the back corner of the first floor, (despite being the only customers in the restaurant for the 1hr, 30 we were there) which would not be a recommended location as you are certainly forgotten about. The waiters were friendly but between finishing our final elements we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to check up on us. Additionally the noise from seemingly a washing machine was not an essential feature for the beginning of service but definitely disturbed the evening.

The food: Whilst elements very quite tasty including the buratta. However the menu seems to suffer from an identity crisis where elements don’t know whether they are Spanish, fine dining or closer to British ‘pub-grub’. Sausage egg and chips and steak and fries is now Corrizo egg and chips whilst lamb chops replaces the latter. None of these were suitable for sharing in composition apart from the salad. Further there was a clear lack in seasoning leaving elements such as the leeks quite bland.

Overall: This is not somewhere I’d recommended if you wish to get value or uncover a new exciting dining experience. Preferably stick to somewhere which costs less and is driven to impress through competition rather than solely because of the cost. Expensive ingredients does not a...

I recently visited Lola Co & Tapas to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired.

We ordered wine, six tapas dishes, three desserts, water, and several coffees, with the bill coming to nearly £250, including a £24 service charge. The food itself was decent—nothing exceptional, just okay. However, the service and overall experience were where things fell apart.

After settling the bill (partly in cash), a waiter approached me to ask for an additional 10p because the payment was short by £0.08. Yes, you read that correctly—eight pence. For a bill of that size, this left a very bad impression.

The service overall was unenthusiastic and lacking in professionalism. The waitress serving us made it clear she wasn’t enjoying her work or interacting with customers. Her forced politeness was noticeable, and to top it off, she asked if there was “anything else she could do for us” while we were still halfway through our desserts—a clear hint for us to leave, which was incredibly rude.

Additionally, a waiter promised us a farewell shot, but it never arrived. It was just another disappointment in a string of letdowns that evening.

In summary, while the food was fine, the service and attention to detail were severely lacking. For the price we paid, I expected much better. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend Lola Co & Tapas for a...

We have just visited both Koko and Lola’s in Tetbury, not for the first time at Lolas and the recently opened Koko next door is a great addition if you are looking to plan a exceptional evening of the best food, drinks and service.

Pre drinks with interesting cocktails was a brilliant way to start our evening at Koko with some authentic Sashimi & Gyozas paired wonderfully.

Ethan served us effortlessly , enthusiastically and very knowledgable even through it was busy he took the time to talk through the wine list and Cigar range which is an experience not to be missed.

We then were lucky enough to get a table for dinner at Lolas, it’s an amazing place, great atmosphere made by the keen and knowledgable team.

The food is of a very high quality, but we recommended always taking the recommendations from the team, especially the manager Alex who recommended to us some great dishes along with the wine from his homeland with extreme passion, which we probably would not of chosen.

Its great to see this independent and authentic Restaurant flourish because of the quality of the food , ethics and people we are lucky to have this as a local.

Support local, support these talented people, stay...

First of all the good things: I called ahead to check if they were dog friendly and they confirmed they were. Sure enough our son's dog made himself right at home and had space to curl up and sleep throughout the meal. Secondly the food and wine is pretty good, just be prepared that it will cost you. As a tapas restaurant you order a selection of dishes to share between you. This is where our waitress started to try and upsell us reckoning that for 6 of us we would want to order 12-15 dishes. We ordered 9 and that was fine. Then she suggested we upgrade our wine. I didn't particularly appreciate this approach. The staff were also somehow better at asking if we wanted more bottles of wine than replenishing our water bottle. 6 prawns for ÂŁ22.50 didn't feel like very good value and I am still wondering who orders the bottles of wine that are priced at overÂŁ1k each or why the restaurant had them on their wine list in the first place. Whilst I quite enjoyed the food, I didn't like being made to feel that we should spend more than we might be comfortable with.

Lola & Co in Tetbury is an exemplar of culinary excellence and a haven for connoisseurs of Spanish cuisine. The ambiance is intimate and cozy, with a rustic decor that transports you to the heart of Spain. The menu is replete with a plethora of delectable traditional tapas dishes, each one prepared with an artisanal touch and an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The croquetas are particularly noteworthy, with a crispy exterior and a decadently rich filling. The service is impeccable, with staff that are both attentive and knowledgeable. The wine selection is also commendable, with a wide range of Spanish wines that are expertly paired with the menu. The newly updated menu served at Lola & Co is a gastronomic delight, featuring an array of delicious dishes that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. In conclusion, Lola & Co is a destination that should not be missed by anyone seeking a truly authentic Spanish dining experience. It is a culinary tour de force that will leave you sated and satiated.
