Moreton Wine Merchants & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Cotswold District

As one who is a fan (well, I confess, a huge fan) of Cab Sauv, the last place I expected to find help with a house move would be a wine merchant. Throw into this mix the wine merchant being an oasis of quality of outstanding selection of wines and champagnes, and this makes the expectedness even more startling.

My step-daughter is currently moving house. With our two young grandsons providing more than enough demand on packaging spaces, with toys and clothes, robust boxes were a pre-requisite.

Enter Jame's: Wine God and all around good guy. Having advertised the sturdy boxes availability on the quite excellent Next Door website, my infinitely better half, Julie, phoned, and Jame's made collection a joy of convenience and simplicity.

So, not only a wine merchant of outstanding selection and quality, but, in addition, a chap of charitable sensibilities who has earned both our gratitude and unending patronage.

My new husband and I got married in Morton in Marsh in July. We had an extended stay and once the wedding was over snd we waved everyone goodbye, we decided to have treat and chose the Moreton Wine Merchants & Bar. It was a quiet night as it was a Monday but this meant we had a nice chance to chat with Melina, the owner and I have to say she is just a wonderful person and made our visit really special. We had wine tasting and cheese/charcuterie boards and had a really enjoyable few hours exploring all the delicious wines. Fab! We went in at 5.30pm for a glass of wine and Melina who served us (possibly the owner?) was amazingly knowledgeable and so lovely with it! Not pretentious just really informed and a really lovely person! We also had a cheese and charcuterie board and I asked for a white wine to complement it as I don't drink red and she brought a lovely white wine which was perfect and told us about the vineyard and family that produces it. My husband mentioned he liked Argentinian Malbec and she brought a Chilean something (you'd have to ask him!) again with background info, which he really like so we bought a bottle of each!
