Very poor. Service was shockingly poor. My daughter's drink had something floating in it. When we asked for a replacement I think they forgot. Waited ages. Food terrible. Fish and chips were awful, Fish tasted like water. No taste. Sausage seemed like they were microwaved. So hard on the outside. Perhaps cooked from frozen. No-one came to us after the meal was delivered. We didn't get a second drink because we were not asked. We didn't order desert because we were not asked, no-one came near us. I would not have ordered another thing from there anyway but that's beside the point. I asked for the bill, it didn't come so I went to the bar. When I went to pay the waitress, she never asked me how our meal was. When I said actually the food was not good she immediately snapped that she would pass on my feedback. I made her aware that she had not even asked me what was wrong with the meal. How could she pass on my feedback? So I fed back! The service was shocking and the food was SO poor. There was a lack of atmosphere. My daughter's burger was nice though. The waitress had no interest in my complaint. Very dismissive. Lacks customer care skills. She is CLEARLY used to hearing it. Water off a duck's back. Save your palates and wallets. A total...

The pub/hotel is on the High Street, a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants and other pubs in Moreton-in-Marsh. We had a four-poster double room (no.3) on the first floor. Although quite compact, it had almost everything needed for our one-night stay. The bed was very comfortable, and a fan and oil heater were provided. The double-glazing was very efficient so the room was quiet even though it overlooked a busy road. The shower room was huge, with a powerful shower, lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a bathrobe. There was a kettle with tea etc and biscuits, but we couldn't work out how to use the Nespresso machine. There were enough sockets for our chargers. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food really excellent (best cheese omelette I have had in years; my husband's full veggie breakfast was also good). There is a small car park, although there is free parking on the high street anyway. The pub/hotel garden looked pretty, but it was raining, so we...

I would not recommend this place. Room was dirty & Damp. Window would not close. Door would not close properly. Was informed it be fixed. Never happened. En suite had damp running down the walls. The ceiling was cracked and hanging down by a lot. Expected it to drop any minute. Told breakfast was between 8am & 0.30 am & asked what time we would like Breakfast stated 8 am . Went diwn for breakfast for 8 am and all the doors were locked and no one around. Other guests started to come down as well still no one around.. eventually a man turned up apologising as the other person had just phoned in sick!! Finally got breakfast!! My wife asked for poached eggs on toast and was given a full English breakfast. Told them it was wrong and again asked for poached eggs on toast. They brought back the full English again with a poached egg. We had very loud music till 1am. And traffic right outside all night. Would not reccomend to anyone. It needs full...

We stayed at The Swan for 2 nights and from the minute we arrived were made to feel like part of the family. Simon has recently taken over this pub and with Scott and Carrie as his small team is working hard to slowly renovate the interior, garden and rooms with minimal interruption. We were in room 1 which is at the back of the pub and was really quiet. We were more than happy to sacrifice a ā€˜view’ to get a good sleep! We had breakfast over the road in a lovely cafe (you get a voucher) which I thought worked better than having breakfast in the pub which often means a restrictive set time. They just started doing some food and although we didn’t order a lot we had the pork belly which was melt in the mouth and full of delicious flavours All in all a lovely 2 days and we will happily return. We wish Simon and team lots of luck building the business up. We heard some of their plans and I’m sure it will just get better and better.

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night and had a generally positive experience. The owners were incredibly lovely and kind, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious enough for three adults and a baby, and the hotel provided a travel cot for our little one. The room was clean, and we appreciated the convenience of having an espresso capsule coffee machine. Breakfast was delightful, with a dining area that exuded the cozy charm of a grandmother’s house, making for a very pleasant start to our day. However, there were a few drawbacks. The lighting in the room at night was quite dim, which made it a bit challenging to see properly. Additionally, the noise from passing cars made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Despite the presence of a small fan, the room was quite hot, which added to our discomfort during the night.

Stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed the relaxing seating in the beer garden out back. We ordered at the bar and they delivered our food to our table. They notified us that our food may take more than a few minutes to prepare. Nobody should be in a big rush on a beautiful day in the Cotswolds anyway. A Sea Fury ale and an Inch Cider were a perfect accompaniment to our Jacket Potatoes with Bacon and Cheese.
