We found the food here to be very sub par. The pizza was just ‘ok.’ Everything else was quite poor. The chicken fingers were fried in coconut oil, or had coconut flour on them, which is fine for a defined ‘gluten free’ item, but not for a standard chicken strip. They tasted quite odd. And the fettuccine bolognese was absolutely unacceptable. It was the most pitiful pasta any of us had ever seen or tasted - it was flavorless, had almost no sauce to be seen on it, had the very tiniest little bits of meat, and was everything opposite of its description as ‘hearty’ (see picture). And the prices were unacceptable for what we got. Would highly recommend your spending your money elsewhere - quality is not a concern of this business.

Only two front if house staff and I only spotted one in the Kitchen. We was welcomed with a warm and happy FOH staff member, then informed about the wait due to only two of them doing the serving. Showed a table which was clean and well presented and given a shot of "fresh lemonade" each. Order taken after about 5-10 mins then the food arrived after another 15 ish. No problem waiting for the food as it was all pipping hot and well presented on the plats. The food was lovely and tasteful. Great customer service and a keen eye for detail. Many thanks for the team for a great service and experience at ASK Moreton-In-Marsh.

I thought the menu was fairly adventurous for a mainstream Italian chain. Though I was disappointed with the Porchetta (pronounced Por-shetta by our server!!). Porchetta is traditionally a whole pig, that is boned then stuffed with herbs, rolled on a skewer and slow spit-roasted. There are many restaurant versions that have cuts of pork, stuffed with herbs and rolled, that are a very close finished product to a traditional Porchetta. Unfortunately this was merely a herb coated, slow braised, piece of belly pork. The flavour was very good and the meal enjoyable, but not what I envisioned when ordering Porchetta.

Honestly couldn't have asked for more amazing service here and the food was just 🤌🤩😍

⭐ Allergen Menu Really clear on what you can and can't have and still with plenty of choice 🥰 I really appreciate this as a coeliac!

⭐Gold Heart Placed on the table for anyone who has a food intolerance/allergy to let staff know and to be mindful of this, the lovely lady who served us told me it's also to let you know they care about you and your needs 🥹♥️

⭐ Strawberry Soft Spritz 🍹 Strawberry syrup, lemon juice, topped up with soda water. If you have a sweet tooth and you also like sour tangs, this is definitely for you 😍🍹

⭐Burrata Caprese 🍅 Honestly I love this starter, especially in the summer there's nothing better than fresh tomatoes and mozzarella 😍 it was so creamy and the tomatoes were fresh and sweet 😋

⭐Primavera Forever 🍕 A creamy white base topped with chicken breast, balsamic red onions, red pepper pearls, grated courgette, spinach and mozzarella. This was honestly so creamy and delicious 🤤 the toppings were crisp and perfect which went so nicely with the creamy base. I ended up taking a third of it home in a box because I wanted to save room for pudding 😅😉

⭐Blood Orange and Chocolate Tart 🍰 My raspberry sorbet was substituted for mango as they had run out which is fine by me, I love mango sorbet 🥭🥰 the chocolate tart was so rich and smooth with a lovely crunchy base.

Honestly I could not fault anything here, the food was delicious, the staff were amazing (big shout out to Sahara who served us! She was absolutely incredible and nothing was too much trouble, thank you ♥️) and the atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly. ♥️

If you have any allergies or intolerances I wholeheartedly recommend Ask Italian, you'll feel looked after and you don't ever feel like you're being a pain for asking, which is a huge tick for me! ✅♥️

We live locally and have visited Ask in Moreton many, many times since it opened and, aside the odd stodgy pasta, on the whole the food has been quite good and the service excellent. I have even been given the odd free coffee whilst waiting for a school party to finish. Now I don't know if they have undergone a management change as well as a decor change but after being turned away at 9.25pm last Thursday night because they were apparently "closed" we will never go back. The waiter stood there tapping at his watch saying they don't serve food that late..... excuse me? The place was half full! Both the opening times on their website and indeed on the door of their establishment state that they close at 10pm. Nowhere does it state that they will turn you away if you turn up after 9pm, which is what their staff member basically told us - "sometimes we stop serving an hour before". Having been totally humiliated by this, we left and had a wonderful meal in The Spice Room around the corner where we are always made to feel welcome, the food and service is excellent and very keenly priced and to top it all, we get a complimentary liqueur before we leave. Perhaps the management and staff at your establishment need to take a step back and re-assess their attitude towards your patrons because the way they are going, they will be driving more...

I visited this place in July on a Sunday evening.

Used a taste card and again had issues. I went online and reserved a table for two for about 6.20pm but it had no option to use a Taste card. Having learnt my lesson from the Brighton experience, I decided to call them as well and said we wanted two tables and would be using a taste card. For some reason the staff said they had no more tables available until after 7pm. I said I already reserved online and I was just confirming I was using a Taste card.

The staff said they misunderstood and it was fine. When I turned up, there were plenty of empty tables so not entirely sure if I was rejected because of the Taste card.

Food was generally ok until paying for the bill. The Taste card requires the staff to scan the code to give you a discount. Unfortunately there seemed like there were only 2 staff serving the entire restaurant on what was probably one of the busiest Sundays.

In total it took about 20minutes from asking for the bill to get the final payment done. I had to go to the exit and tell them I waited far too long.

If this chain can't employ more than 2 waiting staff then something is extremely odd! If you want fast food, it's probably better off getting food from the dumpster as it's quicker than eating...
