Myrtle's Coffee — Restaurant in Coventry

Coffee is nice. Food is nice, small portions for the price. Really disappointed about the loyalty card system. It says stamps per coffee but they only do per transaction which is really poor. When questioned she said we'd have to pay separately which is really weird and makes them seem a bit cheap. Not exceptional food or service and with that weird rule there are plenty of other nice cafes to visit so I wouldn't return. This happened to us twice on two separate occasions so it's definitely not someone who wasn't aware of the system....

A great find, has an interesting theme with sewing machines for tables, and an old press and coffee maker. A confusing mirror wall so you seeing my double !! Very friendly helpfull staff. Great coffee and breakfasts from 9.30 ( although we got a bacon pannini at 9.15 we could have had scramble egg with it) Very competitive prices. It gets morning sun with outside tables under an awning. Oh and a loyalty card just 6 stamps for a free...

The hot chocolate is to die for. The cakes are lovely too. Friendly staff and good service with a nice atmosphere. It's also great that it's dog friendly. My only criticism is that the ladies' toilet/baby room is looking rather worn and dusty. Some floor tiles are cracked, and the walls could do with a coat of paint. It's a shame because this lets down a lovely coffee shop and prevents me from giving an overall 5...
