Nando's at Gatwick Airport! If you're a traveler passing through Gatwick airport, you simply cannot miss out on Nando's - the ultimate food destination that is sure to tantalize your taste buds and satisfy your hunger pangs! As you navigate your way through the airport's bustling terminals, Nando's beckons you with its mouthwatering aroma, located conveniently after the security checkpoint. It's the perfect spot to grab a delicious meal before boarding your flight and heading off to your next adventure. Upon entering the restaurant, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with cozy seating and quirky decor. As you settle in, you'll notice a QR code on the table, which allows you to easily and efficiently order your food with just a few clicks on your smartphone. And what food it is! You simply cannot leave Nando's without trying their succulent chicken livers, served with a side of spicy rice that's guaranteed to tickle your taste buds. The sweet potato wedges, fried to perfection, are an excellent addition to your meal, and the portions are generous enough to leave you feeling full and satisfied. But the real star of the show at Nando's is the staff. From the moment you step foot inside, you're greeted with warm smiles and friendly banter. The servers are jolly and crack jokes along with you, making you feel like you're dining with old friends rather than strangers. And if that's not enough to make you fall in love with Nando's, then their sense of humor will definitely do the trick! When we asked the waiter if soft drinks were free, he gave us a hilarious reply, "No, they aren't, but if you go ahead and take it, no one's gonna stop you!" We couldn't stop laughing as we sipped on our free coke. So the next time you find yourself passing through Gatwick airport, make sure to stop by Nando's for an unforgettable dining experience that's sure to leave you feeling happy, satisfied, and ready for your next adventure.

As I embarked on my morning flight to the Sunshine State, my culinary aspirations were halted when my go-to Waggama was closed. With Nando's being an unexpected option, I hesitated at the thought of breakfast from this renowned peri-peri chicken joint. Nevertheless, intrigue overcame me, and I entered with anticipation. The service at Nando's was as brisk and efficient as ever, in line with their typical help-yourself ethos. However, my excitement waned as I delved into the draft sauce, which proved disappointingly runny and lacking in flavor. Opting for the full English breakfast, I found it to be rather lackluster. While it adequately filled the void, it failed to evoke any sense of culinary delight. My envy peaked as I glanced at the neighboring diner's order: a half chicken accompanied by chips. The sight alone was enough to induce a pang of jealousy. As for libations, the Sagres offered a decent reprieve, albeit served in a glass showing signs of wear and tear, which detracted from the overall experience. In summary, while Nando's may excel in its signature peri-peri offerings, venturing into breakfast territory seems to be a step too far. Stick to what you know, Nando's, and leave the breakfast cravings to more seasoned establishments.

Yes, the wait might be almost an hour. Yes, they are understaffed . But isn’t it better to control the crowd so the few staff they have can do their job with a smile on their face . I sat and watched loads of people moan and complain and be unbelievably rude to the lady doing the door . She was patient and kind , but there are the people who would poke their heads in saying “look at all those empty tables , this is ridiculous “ Like it’s her fault! . Post pandemic most places are struggling to get employees. Imagine if the policy was , pack in the people , take their money who cares about how long they wait for food or the quality of food and service . Wouldn’t that be worse . ? Friendly staff, lovely food as always , and a well thought out interim plan as far as i can see . If you don’t have enough time , then don’t stress yourself or other people out by going . If you do have time … it’s worth the wait.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally complain about an incident that occurred at the Nando’s restaurant located on the second floor of Gatwick Airport on 30 June, around 2:00 PM. My experience was highly unsatisfactory!!!

Yesterday, around 2:00 PM, while waiting at the entrance of your restaurant, I observed a Caucasian couple ahead of me (I'm an Asian woman) being attended to by a female staff member holding a stack of menus. After their interaction, I approached the same staff member.

Despite standing directly in front of her, the female staff member ignored me for an amount of time, choosing instead to engage in conversation with another female staff member. It was clear that she saw me, yet she made no effort to acknowledge my presence. This lack of professionalism was frustrating and disappointing.

When I finally said “excuse me” and asked about the waiting time for a table for one, the staff member’s response was dismissive and lacked basic courtesy. This experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer and raises concerns about the quality of service at this location.

After I eventually went inside the restaurant, I realized I had not been given a menu. I went back to the entrance and asked the same staff member, “Excuse me, why didn’t you give me a menu?” Her response was confrontational; she claimed that she had asked me already, which I find highly doubtful. I observed her giving menus to other customers in a manner that clearly involved asking and handing them the menus simultaneously. She did not exhibit this behavior towards me.

Feeling extremely uncomfortable and disrespected, I decided to leave the restaurant without dining there. This incident led me to believe that her behavior may have been racially motivated as I felt distinctly treated differently compared to other customers.

I believe that all customers should be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of their background or circumstances. I urge you to address this issue with your staff to ensure that no other customer has to experience such poor service.

I hope to hear back from you soon regarding this matter and to understand the steps you will take to improve your customer service...

If you are lucky as we were two weeks ago you will find hair in your chips. We do the late flight every week. Is better to eat Nandos than other precooked meals one can get at the airport. The problem (hence deciding to eventually write this negative review) is the rude and lazy personnel. They are supposed to close at 9:30pm. Some weeks based on who's on shift at 8pm they stop serving tables. Out of three times getting in once they chase us away with dumb excuses on why at 8:05pm they only serve take away - we don't have enough food and this is why we only serve take away - this is the policy - since November the schedule changed (ignoring the possibility of speaking with clients like us who know that this was happening in September and October as well). They force you to takeaway or to go away. You end up getting in at 8:05pm with the restaurant almost empty unable to sit at a table just because they don't want to get the clients in. Nandos is decaying since 2020. It only is a matter of time until we will stop going to Nandos all together. For now, we will try and stay away from Nandos Gatwick because they are rude and lazy, tables are dirty, they treat customers bad (at least the customers getting in 1h and 30minutes before closing time). They don't deserve customers. Unfortunately too many people don't have a voice to take a stand and demand quality. Unfortunately since Brexit quality of services is decaying every...
