I recently celebrated my mum’s birthday with a standard afternoon tea at this incredible venue, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The venue itself is stunning—elegant with a vibrant, welcoming energy that immediately made us feel at home.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and truly made the experience special, with the manager being particularly welcoming and accommodating. It felt like every detail had been thought through to perfection.

I recently visited this delightful tea room and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that made us feel right at home. The tea for two was exceptionally generous, offering a splendid selection of both classic and unique blends, perfectly brewed and presented.

The interior of the tea room was simply lovely, exuding a cozy and charming ambiance that invited relaxation and conversation. Elegant decor, comfortable seating, and tasteful touches created a perfect setting for enjoying a leisurely afternoon tea. We particularly loved the tea pot collection.

The only negative is the lack of toilet facilities but due to the age of the building this is acceptable as there are facilities across the road.

I booked an afternoon tea here after googling local venues that would be suitable for both adults and children. Very pleased to have stumbled this location, having never been to Hemel old town before, as we were all warmly welcomed and served with absolutely delicious homemade savoury and sweet treats. My 4 year old nieces eyes nearly popped out of her head when she saw the tower of goodies that were all for her! There was so much food on offer that we had to ask for takeaway boxes to enjoy some of the cakes the next day.

The owner and her team are a lovely group of people who deserve to be incredibly successful and I wish them well.

If I had any advice for them to enhance the experience for their guests, it would be to have a printed list of the teas available for guests to choose from on the table (they may already do this or just wasn’t my experience on the day) and perhaps a list of soft drink options for children.
