Oh, brace yourself for a culinary catastrophe that unfolded when I dared to experience the atrocity that is Zest. The descent into disappointment began with the cheap tin foil that enveloped my orderāsetting the tone for a rough, regrettable journey.
The "kebab," if one could even call it that, revealed a grotesque amalgamation of mashed-up meat, accompanied by a sad assortment of wilted salad. Braving a bite was a grave mistake; the meat tasted akin to sinking my teeth into Mahatma Gandhi's sandalā an experience so repulsive, I spat it out with instant revulsion.
The chips, despite their surprisingly crispy, hot, and fluffy demeanor, were betrayed by a dire, awful sauce that left me heaving. A tragic twist of fate for what could have been a redeeming element in this culinary disaster.
In a desperate attempt to salvage something from this debacle, I thought of gifting the meal to my dog on her 5th birthday. Alas, even my furry friend turned her nose up at the misery that lay in her bowl. As I chuckled at the absurdity, I emptied her bowl into the bināa fitting end to a meal that not even a canine companion could endure.
Zest, I implore you to reconsider your culinary endeavors unless mediocrity and disappointment are your desired outcomes. Perhaps, in the realm of unfortunate happenings, this was merely an off day, but based on my harrowing experience, I wouldn't wish this upon anyone. Proceed with caution, or better yet, avoid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered a large chicken shawarma and chips after midnight..
friendly polite good service, I live round corner, kebab was only a little bit warm when I got home, had to put it in microwave..
It was all mixed together including chips, I had to heat salad with meat as it wasnāt seperate..
The meat was chopped finely and had a fair bit of fat on it, guessing mixing it all together with sauce etc you wouldnāt really notice it..
Not keen on warm salad even though the salad was nice and fresh before I warmed it up ..
It didnāt come with pitta bread which you would expect with a kebab, goes without saying ..
Letās round this up
(Myself) would order from here again if it was after midnight as would have no choice.. I would order a meat dish which was not chopped, so would be less fatty, I would ask for pitta bread and ask for salad to be seperate in case it needed warming ..
(Mrs) didnāt want one as we ordered from same address a few years ago when it was called Kebab Point, it was not not good, I agreed, since then ownership changed ⦠she tried some of mine and itās still a no no from her ā¦
Was cheaper than other kebab shops, not worth £8.50, would rather spend a few quid extra for a really good one ..
(Brian the Bulldog) He loved it! 5 star āļø from him, he canāt wait for me to have a kebab craving again when itās after 12 and I have no choice to order here again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreĀ Ā Ā Read moreCame here to buy some dinner while staying over on the way to visit family. A very warm welcome from the team and my heavens ā the choice in this place is incredible! So hard to choose, and from what I saw (and tasted) it was all fantastic stuff. I can honestly say this is one of the best kebab shops Iāve been in, in recent years. I opted for the (large) chicken shawarma, and my other half the chicken shish (normal) with some tasty fries. The food was rapidly cooked and prepared in front of us, and the team could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Iām glad I trusted my nose as we passed, as the food was absolutely delicious. The fries were also super crispy - I wish every shop could get them this good!!! I think my other half wished sheād had the larger kebab (she loved what she had...but was clearly hungrier than she thought), but I was wonderfully full and rejoicing in the splendid flavours Iād encountered. We will be back to Zest no doubt next time weāre in the area, and perhaps a little sad that theyāre over 100 miles from home, and donāt really deliver to th...
