I Recieved a voucher for a free meal (emailed to me). On arrival I asked them to check the barcode before ordering to ensure it was valid, to which they did and said it was. I placed mine and my sons order. Once the food was cooked I was then told the voucher wasnt valid and I would have to pay. I asked the manager to scan the code again and she took my phone off me (without asking). She Said no and when I said “well why did I just get told it was ok to use”. She wouldnt answer and shouted at the cooks to discard of my order. I asked she speak with customer services and she refused. The cook behind was throwing bits of food on the floor. I left with a very disappointed child and I was angry and frustrated. The restaurant was empty. There was no apology, nothing. I was treated like I was trying to pull some sort of scam. I would have happily of paid for the meal, if at the start, they had checked and nicely said “sorry, its not valid”. But to do it after they have said it was valid and after the food was cooked, almost seemed like a ploy to get you into the restaurant because most people will just pay because they dont want the food to go to waste or be embarrassed. Anyway, I complained to head office after and they stated there was an additional email sent out after the first one stating there was an error. I asked for the date/time stamped email to be sent to me but they never did. No apology, just some very condescending, patronising rude emails responses to my complaint. They in the end issued anither valid QR code but I would never eat here again, purely based on the service. It used to be a treat after Gravity once a month or so and so by not provding a good service they have lost two regular customers. I Did reach out to John Eckbert but he refused to respond! Looks like customer service is not very high on his list and hes happy to get negative feedback and lose customers. (Though he states completely different in his interviews). Side note the hot dog, is very small and dry. Not...
Read moreWhy did I listen to my kids and go here. What a waste of money and awful! Where do I start? Let's do the best first, the chips. The chips were skinned chips and tasty. Sadly that's it. Sorry i forgot the oreo milkshake my kids liked.
Bad bits
Firstly what a state the place is. Ribbish on tables and spilled drinks. Only when asked several times did they even wipe the table. The sausages in a bun were seriously over priced and to say the size wouldn't fill a 3 Yr old is an understatement. They were plain and nasty! The burgers £10.50 are still giving me bad indigestion and were certainly not gourmet. I feel sorry for the yanks if they rate this. It be better staying in the US as anyone with taste buds won't like this. 4 burgers and two hot dogs with chips and flat coke £130 later. What a con. The burgers wrapped in tin foil that you queue up for. Which they got wrong. How hard was it to fulfill. Then to not tell you how to actually get the food just given a receipt. Sadly also rude staff members of the two I experienced. I am not a 12 Yr old so please do not talk to me like I am one. Simply terrible never again thats for sure. I'd like to say this visit was a blip but I am positive that this place is like this always.
Save your money and your toilet the burden. Go to a proper restaurant or I can not believe I'm saying this but mc Donald's is better an that is saying something in my...
Read moreOne of the best burgers around, and cheap too! I wish we'd never discovered how good the burgers are here. Now whenever we want to pop out for something to eat, this is where we go!! The menu isn't very long (burger, hot dog, grilled cheese and veggie sandwich) but what they do do, they do right! The burgers are awesome, and being able to select all the toppings you want is great. The regular burgers have two patties in them, so if you aren't very hungry go for the little burger, which is still substantial. The chips are also brilliant, I recommend going for Five Guys style and asking for the spicy seasoning on the side as they tend to overdo it when they put it on. Also get one soft drink to share between two as it's unlimited refills. For two people you'll generally pay about 20 pounds, a bargain for food this good. Location wise its pretty good too, right next to the cinema and great for people watching. If you've never been before go give it a go. But only if your prepared to be disappointed with all other burgers...
