It was my son's birthday last week, he arrived late from his exams so we could not go out. I made a large order from Mcdonals and waited for over one hour for the food. The food came in drips , the ice cream and drink with ice blocks in it came before the wraps. When the wraps where all done, the girl serving realised that the Apple pie had not been made. My husband worked in McDonalds as a Manager for 10 years and I learnt from him that the pie takes 6 minutes., it is kept for 90 mins ... I didn't grumble, Waited. When the pie was cooked, the girl came to me with the melted milk (was supposed to be ice creams) and asked if I would take them like that. I laughed and said no because I was driving home, which was 20 mins. Her body language changed so much that she just ignored me. Brought the drink with melted ice block and wraps which turned out not to have sauce in them . I then asked her to change the chips which where all soggy at this time. She ignored me when I asked for ketchup etc, the security guard was so kind to go behind the counter and give me some. Fast forward to today, it's 9.30 and I have eaten nothing. Long day at work so went to Mcdonals and ordered a grilled chicken wrap. Returned and found it was fried. Called the store by phone and asked if they could make one before I got there, explained the situation, no apology nothing from the girl on the phone. She kept repeating how I must bring the wrap and the receipt, if not I would not get a new wrap. By this time I was on my way there. I met a Manager who had his back to me and when I explained the situation he said "no worries" took the wrap and dumped it in the bin. Then carried on with what he was doing. I explained that I had not eaten and it was very bad customer's services not to apologise and to just carry on like I was not there. I asked for a refund . Took him 3 minutes to give me one, he said someone was on the till. At no point did he apologise, he was simply not bothered. When cornered, he pretended to have apologised. He had not. I told him that his behaviour had prompted me to ask for a refund, he said "okay, I can only give you a wrap or your money, I can't do both". At no point had I asked him for both, I can afford all the wraps cooked in that place... It just was upsetting. I told him that my husband worked in Macdonald's as a Manager for 10 years and by law I know what he can do and not do. He can give both, but I do not need both, if I needed more food, I would eat the fried chicken wrap rather than the grilled one I ordered. I even mentioned that I was going away without food and he had not bothered to apologise and say "please have your wrap, we are sorry" instead he was eager to get one with what ever it is he was doing. They lost a customer. I have no intentions to revisit. I will grill my chicken and make my wrap. 1 whole hour...
Read moreThis is the WORST store for deliveries. Always missing items, never are milkshakes available, and then they clearly have the phone off the hook as you can never get through to them. Probably to avoid ever having to deal with complaints of missing items. I keep ordering g from them thinking ‘they can’t get it wrong again, surely?’ But I should have listened to my pessimistic brain…. I’ve worked with deliveries (app based- Deliveroo, just eat, Uber) in a fast food restaurant and I know that it would take effort to get it wrong as often as they do. I tried to contact McDonald’s, and that like navigating the crystal maze with no actual exit. Auto bot just says it’s the delivery apps fault contact them. But it isn’t them- it’s the store. Passing the blame for something is not the way a responsible multi national chain should operate. I’m CERTAIN other complaints about this have arisen, but it doesn’t change. And mean while, we are out of pocket and ol McDonald is smiling away on his...
Read moreI get here before 8am for a couple of coffees to chill. They want to play the music like they’re in a nightclub with no care for anyone else, it booms over my headphones. It’s 745am Sunday morning. I asked if they wouldn’t mind turning it down ever so slightly and I got ignored and they turned it up. I am not a snowflake, I am not a Wokey but this is traditional age discrimination as the the staff are youngies. I’m not precious I just want to hear my videos I’m watching it’s insane how loud at is at this time and unnecessary, it is done to suit the staff and to hell with the customers. What about older generation, they don’t matter to these people. 745am on a Sunday put that into context, there’s hardly anyone here!!!
AND ANYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE DELIVERY SIDE OF THINGS GET OFF YOUR FAT LAZY ARSES ,...
