We went to this cafe on Sunday 9th December. We intentionally went in because they advertised that they made drinks with a variety of milk options, including Coconut and Almond. My daughter aged 6 has very serious allergies, and we carry epi-pens for anaphylaxis, including allergies towards Peanut, Fish, Soya, Egg, and Milk. We were clear, on ordering a hot chocolate for our daughter, that it needed to be Coconut milk, and also made sure that both drinks were made the same way (our 3 year old non-allergic) to avoid cross contamination or swap risk. This was made known to the server, and we also specifically told the server about the milk allergy when asking if the cocoa powder contained milk, and it was confirmed that it didn’t. Immediately upon drinking the item my daughter became ill, and with the toilet being occupied, she had to be carried into the street to be sick. Unfortunately this was only the beginning of our ordeal that day, as our daughter had been poisoned with an allergen, and the server confirmed that they had wrongly made the drink with normal cows milk. This is highly dangerous, life threatening, and negligent. The proprietor was dismissive and more interested in checking what had been written on the order than the fact that her employee for whom she is also liable, had risked the life of my daughter. We walked out for medical treatment at that point with the remainder of our orders left on the table. Awful approach to life threatening allergies. My daughter is now traumatised and questions anything that we give her. Do...

At 1;30 in the afternoon I decided it was cafe stop time [ cycling] . I decided that f'coffee looked a good place for this Sunny day, so decided to seat outside in the sunshine. There was coffee cups on nearly every outside table. I asked for a sandwich. We don't done food. A sandwich 🥪. Coffee and cake was the only the next best thing. So coffee and cake it would be. £8.60 . Was expecting a lovely hot coffee and cake to die for. Coffee was COLD, CAKE WAS VERY SMALL. 2 BITES CAKE WAS GONE AND COFFEE WAS THAT COLD I DRANK IT IN ONE GONE.

So I will never return to f'coffee.

I should have walked out after the girl . Who couldn't count the money I gave her.

It did take about 10 minutes to get the cake and coffee.

1:30 and stopped taking sandwiches. In my feeling towards this.

I probably wouldn't have been able to afford a sandwich. At f'coffee.

Oh yes, try to lower the pricing, and remove the cups from the tables When customer have finished.

WARNING TO OTHERS THIS COFFEE SHOP IS FAR TO EXPENSIVE ×@##×'

THANK...

Great coffee and good food, but sadly let down by the service. I visited on Saturday 14th where there were three young women on shift, and only one of whom, who was preparing the food, was engaged in what was going on. The two serving behind the counter regularly disappeared, and during my half-hour stay, two groups of people came in and waited several minutes to be served; nobody appeared, so they left.

I don't want to leave an entirely negative review and there's a lot to like about the place - it's dog-friendly and the coffee really is delicious. It's not excessively priced, maybe a little on the high side for some things, but they're generally good quality. The cakes look good as well, although as I didn't have one I sadly can't comment on the taste.

With an improvement to the service, this place would definitely...

The F'coffee in Ashbourne is very clean, with good service and welcoming staff. It is wheelchair accessible, with a ground floor toilet and a baby's changing room. There is also additional upstairs seating, which is comfortable. The prices are very reasonable (£11), I had an amazing Fishfinger sandwich, with lettuce and tartar sauce, served with a side of the best minted mushy peas I have ever tasted and a oat milk latte. Bread was thick, soft and extremely fresh, really enjoyed.

Lovely spot for a drink & light meal! We visited last year and enjoyed our experience with the friendly f'coffee team. We opted for the charcoal latte & butterfly pea latte which were absolutely delightful. The vegan avocado & roasted red pepper sandwich was spot on, however a bit sweet for my taste. Nice decor and atmosphere, very popular place (we were lucky to find an available table). All in all, would definitely return when in the area.

Beautiful atmosphere here, very hipstery. Drinks aren't over priced and a good variety as well. The breakfast and lunch menu is really good, with some nice veggie options. Order food and drink at the till, and they will be delivered to your table so no waiting around, a really chilled environment. All the staff here are really friendly. Really nice place for a coffee and chat.
