First time visit as i was passing through Ashbourne. Nice little cafe on the main thoroughfare through Ashbourne. No parking outside on the road so i parked the bike up on the pavement and out the way. Nice friendly table service. On a glorious sunny Sunday in the UK no better place to sot and watch all the classic cars drive by whilst listening to the church bells ringing. My toasted tea cake could have had more time under the grill ( me own fault for not saying ) and i felt the coffee had a bitter after taste like the coffee was burnt. Id stop again for sure but stick with a cup of tea instead. Plenty of seating outside on nicely decorated tables and there are bowls Of biscuits and water and a pillow for any furry friends.' Inside is bit cramped and the bathroom was nice and clean.

A great little café on the outskirts of the main town that has a few indoor tables but plenty more outside; and, lots of dog beds, water and dog treats bowls. Inside you can take a step back in time with a photographic anthology of Ashbourne through the years. And, enjoy the nostalgic cutlery and crockery, if you’re of a certain age … 😉 The food is good, quickly prepared, and generous for the price, which is delivered by very friendly and attentive staff; if you’re looking for a quick fuel-up before a day on the Tissington Trail or browsing the Town Centre, then this place will see you right. An out-of-the-way gem that is worth going the extra yards to sample - recommended for locals and visitors alike.

Probably the most dog friendly cafe we have been to, lots of dog treats and water bowels. The staff (all young) were great, really friendly and helpful. The food was good quality with generous portions. We had the chicken and bacon panini melt 🙂. Nice cosy outside covered area Very pleased we found the Tunnel Cafe 👍🏻

On first appearance in the garden it looks very tired and cramped, outside looks quite inviting, my husband ordered and I said I didn't want anything and as she was walking away I thought I heard her say"and the same?" The waitress got our order wrong she brought 2 lots of what my husband had ordered, and I couldn't accept it because I have dietary issues, I think she was in to much of a rush to get home and wasn't paying attention to what we said, soon afterwards she approached my husband and said " are you ready to pay ", which I thought was a bit rude, once he'd paid, the boards were brought in from outside, obviously they were closing for the day but this wasn't explained to us on arrival, she was in a big rush to get rid of us in an uncourtiouse manner from us walk onto the establishment and upto us leaving, I WON'T venture there again, I will take my custom and money elsewhere as I feel that she wasn't really interested in hospitality, we left there feeling extremely...
