Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Doncaster

In terms of the service for coffee and snacks this place is great. However I recently found a staff member very rude we followed guidelines and logged in on the track and trace app we socially distanced at the time we was ALLOWED in our bubble of four to sit together a table WAS available and clean, however this staff member acti g like a body guard at the door told us we HAD to sit outside regardless of a table being available for four people in our bubble. We were ordering together and told to leave only one of us to order this was all publically she was speaking so loud ensuring the customers inside was staring at us and caused quite a scene. Now for someone with anxiety this is the worst thing that could ever happen and therefore I will Never visit this store again because of this one individual who has ruined not just MINE but THREE other individuals experience of this dining facility. Mental health training is required for staff and maybe they need to understand the importance of people have invisible disabilities if that had of been someone with autism which does not always visually present how would that situation have ended?...

Costa a-lotta! 🤣 Gone from 3 times a day to a treat once every month or so. Just not worth it but enjoy it when I do and will normally always grab a mocha. Tastes great, especially as it's not bought 3 times a day anymore lol From nearly £20 a day to upto £10 every 2 months! Think about it, 6days a week that's £120! £500 per month roughly!

Plus sides, Wait times are generally quite good anytime I go, if there is a queue, the staff just work like clockwork and just steam through and still look professional. Bariasta's are always great, they do a great job and deserve better pay for what's being charged per drink. In fact, Costa staff make me want to get a coffee and sit in, very hospitable and try to connect with every single customer. Watch this anytime I drank my coffee and sat in, just great people. Well, where do I begin? I had a young lady called Lucy shout at me over the counter. I'm not deaf love. Terrible customer service skills. While waiting for my coffee there were half a dozen flies flying around the till area, and one kept landing on my plate trying to get to my panini. And then to top it off, when we got our drinks and food there were no tables to sit at. It wasn't even busy but all the free tables had glasses and trays on from the previous customers. Now normally I wouldnt't mind a little wait, but i mentioned it to the server and i was still stood waiting for a few minutes with my girlfriend who is 39 weeks pregnant. Will never come here again.
