Today myself and my friends decided to dine at the White Rose Way Pizza Hut in Doncaster, it wasn’t very busy yet the staff were still quite slow at taking our orders, although the food came quickly and was delicious, we had a nice meal yet much to my disappointment when It came to taking the bill all hell broke loose. The bill came to £63.86 and between 4 of us we put £75 in, in hopes that when the bill came back we could ask for the spare ten pounds to be split into pound coins for bus fare, we planned to leave the left over money as tip! However much to our dismay when our waitress brought it back we only given £1.17 change, shocked I decided to confront the waitress politely asking if she’d misplaced the missing £10 to which she replied “No I haven’t you must have given me the wrong amount of money or not brought as much with you as you thought”. After this accusation I demanded to speak the manager who suggested that the waitress check her money, they went into another room to do this and then came back to announce they was nothing extra there, after this the pair agreed with each other that they wanted to check our bags, although my friends and I were appalled by the idea of searching our personal belongings we consented to this preposterous action as we had nothing to hide. Once we had showed them the insides of our bags, they exclaimed “well there is nothing we can do about it”, they did not apologise for the whole ordeal or offer any kind of compromise, in fact they practically insinuated that we leave immediately. I am not only disappointed about the fact our money has mysteriously gone missing but also the dissatisfying customer service we experienced from the staff. I just find it disheartening that if we were adults instead of a group of 16 year old girls we would have been treated completely different. The moral of the story is, if you're a young person do not eat here, not only will they strip you of your money but also your self respect and rights as a...
Read moreMy husband and I popped in for a meal on a whim. We really fancied it as we have eaten here before and the food was really good I also used to work for Pizza Hut years ago and knew what the standard used to be like where I worked.
We went for a meal deal as it would have been cheaper than getting the items separately. However we were both really shocked at how much they are charging. They were never cheap but the prices seemed to have been hiked up since covid. Have never paid over £20 for a pizza before!!
After having the food we have both decided we will never be going back again. The pizza dough was really tough on the stuffed crust pizza and hardly any cheese in it. Also not many toppings on the pizza for the price. The cookie dough and ice cream that my husband had he really struggled to get it out of the bowl As it was stuck round the edges and he had to keep straightening his spoon out as it was bending when he was trying to scoop it out. Also I'm allergic to sweetners so can only drink sugared drinks. So if I wanted Pepsi I had to pay quiet a bit extra for a small bottle as could no longer get it on the unlimited supply. Yes they do have a selection of drinks I could have but would have to pay through the nose for all of them.
There was no point complaining as we would not have wanted a replacement for what we had. We just did not enjoy it. In future we will stick to our local Pizza place who also do large Stuffed Crust for a lot less. Can get roughly the same as what we got at Pizza Hut for a lot less and delivered to the house.
I never thought I would say I would never use Pizza Hut again, as I was always impressed...
Read moreIt’s quite nice, the buffet was not a bad price and ordering through a phone is more convenient for me but not much so for older people or people who don’t know how to use their phones very well, although the assistance with getting to the app/website was very good.
The food was quite nice, i will say some of the pizzas were quite cheeseless and more cheese would’ve been good. Other than that the food was very good, certainly going back again but probably only once in a while, not because of the quality (as the quality is pretty good but not as good as it used to be in my opinion) but just simply because of choice.
Overall I quite enjoyed the service, the food was good and I recommend the buffet for anyone who goes. But it is only between 11am to 3pm therefore making the restaurant very busy and potentially having to wait a while for a table to free up, especially if you have a large group/family with you.
I definitely recommend, if you are in the area, to visit, especially within buffet hours, which are mentioned above. I give this place a 8/10 rating, in which I have thoroughly...
