Lovely staff, hot food (came at the right time lol) But it's just not worth what they're charging for the food. It's the best place to get a pastie from.
This store is just like Sheffield's and every other Greggs where come breakfast or lunch peaks don't accommodate business needs with appropriate levels of staff and guarantee come breakfast and lunch, go to any Greggs in the country and see a huge queue going out of the store. Some People only having a short amount of time or only get half hour lunch just end up leaving the queue and eating elsewhere.
Only one till will be open most of the busy times too. I feel bad for the staff not looking like there's enough support for them. Must be so stressful for them at peak times and abusive customers from having waited so long, not the staffs fault as there's a budget for staffing costs and managers do their best from the constraints of head office.
The amount of people that can't wait(especially when there's coffee in the order or breakfast rolls) just walkout everyday is crazy. I've been in a queue and 4 people in front of me left due to waiting and I also eventually left (half hour lunch, not your fault or I could've waited).
Seen people walk out with the food or cold drinks they picked up to pay at the till so I know theft is high. Add those losses and walkouts and weigh that against an extra staff covering the 2 busiest hours. That's just 2 hours a day wage.
Anyway, rant over lol I like the mochas, some pasties and donuts. So if I can wait I will as I know the peak times and try to avoid those.
Make the Xmas soup an all year thing! Love that! Just call it something else the other 11 months of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely bombshell went in today with my mother sister and nephew to go and grab some breakfast. When we got there a young girl aged 19-21 was serving behind the till. Absolutely skittishly behaved messed one guys order and when we got served she was not listening to the orders. I numerouslt said I wanted two breakfast rolls one plain and one with red sauce and a sausage roll for my nephew. She then went to sort the guys order and nearly dropped it on the floor. When she went to sort out our order she asked again which we told her 3/4 times one plain and one with red sauce. She then wiped her face and her nose with her hand and then nearly went to touch our food. Which my mother clocked it before she even touched the food and told her to wash her hands immediately. When we finally got our food after she washed her hands the food was cold over cooked and presentation was shocking. The coffee tasted rank. Hygiene from your staff is disgusting and need more training with in peak times. Donāt plan on coming back to your store. Shocking service. Staff are undertrained...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLovely and clean. But I went early so unsure how it is kept in the afternoon. Although I have passed at different times during the day over the six weeks holidays and it has looked very inviting. The place has plenty of seating inside and outside. Inside big chairs, soft especially nice if you are older, I mum nursing your baby, got a bad back. Then they also have standard chairs but perfectly nice. Outside their are tables and chairs with parasols.
I saw bins getting emptied at 10.30am. I saw a contious que, impatient or not this indicated to myself that the place is nice. But don't let the que stop you. I was qued at the door and took me 2minutes to be at the front. Staff were quick. I qued with two children, 1 with non verbal...
