Unfortunately had a very poor experience in Mayfair doncaster last week. Would not recommend. Me, my mum, my 3 year old and 13 week old baby popped in for some lunch, baby needed changing so my mum offered, to be met with a 15 minute wait outside the disabled toilet, to be told they had lost they key and the option was to carry him upstairs soiled and change him on the ladies floor (thank god for the changing mat we brought ourself) with no safe or proper way of disposing of the soiled nappy. We would’ve left there however we’d already ordered food. Met with cold beans for the toddler, nothing outstanding for the food and no offer of condiments, to be met with nothing but dirty looks from the bar staff and waitress when i located these myself. Without an apology in sight i popped over to the manager, “big boss” aparently who unfortunately had nothing positive to say to myself, but was more bothered about why they’d not told him the key was missing and trying to correct me that there was a key behind the bar. We have since tried to message to resolve the issue and share our thoughts, but unfortunately there’s a stroppy teenager behind the screen who doesn’t like complaints, very rude. Very overrated, very poor experience due to rude staff, inaccessibility and overall not great food. Edit - the owner has replied that the key was taken, however staff on the day came to say it had been locked inside the toilet - unsure how nobody was aware as clearly it cannot of been cleaned that day. I have also reviewed this on social media who have confirmed this is a common issue, as well as food not being the quality it should for the price it is.

Last two times we have been both times has been terrible. For starters despite a high price the food quality has massively dipping standards on previous times we have found it to be good. But recently quite bad. One time we were going to the CAST next door. We only had 50 minutes. Despite them saying around 25 minutes the food was 40. So we had to eat really quickly and leave in a hurry. Recently we were in the same situation but had an hour. They said 30 minutes. It slightly late. But the pizza we ordered was burnt. We paid £14 pound for this. We also had bolognese chips. Complete bland. I am afraid to say that the food quality recently has been very poor. Food late and doesn’t come out on time. Unfortunately this was a place we really liked but won’t be returning. Very overpriced for what you’re actually getting.

I booked a large table for food before seeing a show at The Cast next door. There was a variety ordered from the menu within the group and no complaints at all. Portions sizes are huge! I had the chicken on flat bread including chips, which were some of the best chips I’ve ever eaten! Only slight change id make is serve the chips separately rather than mixed in with the chicken and sauce. The atmosphere is great, it’s a big space so accommodates all different occasions really. Will definitely be going back :)

For me, I found it quite average at best. My wife enjoyed it, kids found it ok.

The pizza really wasn't great, please look at the pic. When your kids like's his pizza, it's gone. This one he offered to share with everyone. The katsu burger was nice, but the Philly steak and cheese was greasy and stodgy. The chips literally fell apart, the sauce had no depth of flavour and was quite runny. The grease from the cheese soaked into the meat and flatbread. Heck, even the onion rings were not fully cooked. When I wasn't asked how I like my steak cooked, I thought ok, it must just come as is, but it was medium and chewy. Only the extra grease from the cheese helped it down.

I don't know what type of potato they used for the chips but they were quite thick. Well cooked but unfortunately would not hold up when picked up by the fork.

They definitely tasted homemade, but I think changing the potato type would go a significantly wrong way to improving the taste and texture of the chip.

The football was shown on the large screen and then several all the screens in the pub. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm not particularly bothered about football myself, so I would be discouraged if it was during busy match, but I guess for other people this might be a reason to go here.

We also visited on a Sunday so the normal full menu was not available and a very limited menu was. This was a touch. Disappointing as I had looked at the menu before and was going to have the Yorkshire pudding wrap which wasn't available even though Yorkshire puddings and Sundays kind of go together.

Hopefully if the pub reads this they'll see its...

Booked for our daughters 16th birthday for 3 of us made sure they knew at the time it was a special occasion when we turned up we were sat on a tiny round table and was told we could pull another equally small table together wouldn’t have been too bad if the main seat to the tables in that area wasn’t a bench making it difficult to sit around as a family as I adjusted myself on the uncomfortable bench it was obviously not secured and me and my daughter came forward and it landed on my ankle leaving a mark

We requested to change tables as the restaurant was very quiet yet for some reason a birthday booking was sat in a tiny corner. We went to place our food order wasn’t asked of any allegens which I’m sure this is now a legal requirement had to explain 3 times what a plain cheeseburger is then when we came to order drink was disgusted at the lack of soft drink options available

The main meals were nice and hot but were more the size for kids as they come out on small plates and they still looked like there was nothing on them. We had ordered 2 side orders of onion rings which were massive portions of just over fried batter no onion in sight when we mentioned this and explained they were inedible we were offered a free round of drinks which we politely declined. To add insult to injury the waiter did inform us we could purchase cake from their cake cabinet if we were still hungry

We’d come before and was brilliant from welcome to farewell this time was a massive disappointment and unfortunately won’t be returning a birthday meal well and truly ruined but thanks to McDonald’s who fed our still hungry 16 year old it wasn’t a total...
