£12 for a cookie dough and a small scoop of Ice cream... staff looked like they didn't want to be there, looked as though they had no life in them and out of energy. Never mind giving wrong change out, didn't complain as it was £1 but highly disappointed on it all, the only time I wanted to treat my partner on a night and we come to this 🤦‍♀️ maybe think of a different packaging. Cookie dough over all was alright that's why its 2 star.

Ordered desserts and milkshakes and for the price I paid I was very much unimpressed. The milkshakes were small and the cookie dough was so over cooked and had turned to crisp. The bottom was stuck to the paper and i could taste the burnt dough. When I called to let them know they said this is how the cookie dough is served. Definitely will not be returning and I was very disappointed.

This has been my first visit since the pandemic of the 2020s began. We went out for a Xmas works party. Food and service was fantastic. We were offered a complimentary cheesecake on the house which was also top notch. Would definitely recommend, especially the chicken hydrebadi.

Banned for Tipping .

I have been a regular customer for years , it was called the taj mahal back in the day ! The menue for poppadoms and cream doesn't have vindaloo on it but , if you ask for vindaloo they will make it for you , they will also make your curry apnee style . I've always found the waiting staff to be helpful and the food to be good at a reasonable price.

On my last visit , with a friend , we got banned. I asked what happens to the tips . The reply was the owner keeps them . So we paid the bill in full and gave the waitresses a small tip . The manager knew this had happened and followed us outside. He banned us then slammed the restaurant door shut .

I accept he will possibility comment below . However the facts are the facts . We were banned for Tipping directly to a member of staff and not leaving the tip on the plate for the owner . We did what we thought was right , we wanted the waitresses to directly benefit from the tip as a thankyou for her service to us ..

So , I have no issues with the restaurant , the food is good and reasonable in price . I personally don't think it's correct that my tip doesn't benefit the staff . I also believe its an overreaction to a few quid tip to ban regular customers . But I look forward to the restaurant response.

I hope you find it helpful to know where...

first off the response to this review is a complete lie here is a breakdown to prove

just ordered spent £39.00 £15 = 2 mains £7.50 = 3 rice £9 = 2 desserts £5.50 = 2 naan £2.00 = small chips

ordered 3 rice, they sent 1, rang them and was accused of lying.

they said fine they will send 2 extra rice, this was 30 minutes ago, the rest of the food is cold and still no rice. I'm sure they are busy and thses things happen but the manner of the person on the phone was disgusting.

first time ive ever left a bad review on anyone.

honestly the food is ok but your better of supporting a local food business that cares about its customers.

update: after leaving this review he rang me after he noticed my review, he got really angry honestly couldn't believe how angry a bad review made him, he then threatend me and I quote "I've got your f@$%ing address".

hes also refused to send the rest of the food I paid for which is technically theft, reported to authorities to be on...

Visited Sun 15 Jan. It seems to me most of the bad reviews for this place are hard luck stories with the takeaway service . Go and visit the restaurant and you'll find it's a different story altogether. I believe this curry house has been in the same family since the mid eighties which is when I first came here and although the name has changed the standard hasn't dropped. I ordered Nawab Bangla , Special Rice and 2 Chapattis and my friend ordered Chicken Hyrabadi, Onion Rice and 1 Keema Nan. All the food was first class and cooked perfectly. With the addition of a bottled lager and a glass of red wine the bill was £45.00. so not only is this restaurant excellent quality it's also reasonably priced. 💯 recommend. If you go and you agree hit the Blue Thumbs Up on...
