Excellent, polite staff. Good choice of drinks, with very reasonable prices. A good mix of clientele (couples, young/old, male/female).

The place has recently been refurbished and is pleasant and warm. The toilets were clean and in good condition.

There is the games room, which tends to be busier, but has a good mix of clientele. And the function room, which is nice for a quiet chat, and has loads of seating.

The outside seating is used a lot on sunny days and there is quite a large patio at the front.

Parking is available in the car park. With it being a neighbourhood pub, most people walk, but there is ample parking and space to drop off.

We switched here from a nearby establishment that was going downhill fast, and have been very happy to go back to the mallard after not visiting...

Great local boozer, always packed but you never struggle to get served. They have tellies in all the right places so no matter where you sit you can watch sports. The outdoor area has recently had a facelift and they regularly have food vendors out front. My only grumble is the lack of attention when it comes to certain facilities. The disabled / baby change toilet has been out of order for nearly a month and a loo seat in the ladies is broken and has been sitting propped up next to the bowl for over a fortnight. We only had drinks. There is plenty of inside and outside space and seating. Service was fast. Card payments are accepted. It's very clean, including the toilets. I would definitely go again.
