The food here was fantastic. Very fresh, good portions and reasonably priced. We paid £36 for two mains of seafood paella and haddock & a large chips, and sweet was additional. Went on a Friday night, it was a local pub, it was vibrant, busy, and many locals enjoying themselves. Service was good, although slow, because it was so busy. We will go back again, this time, to try out their Sunday roast.

Spent a weak here. This place is a hidden gem such a community atmosphere even in the day time, there's a happy family vibe here. The love and care put into this pub is evident in all aspects of this place such a great vibe, no trubble just laughter. And the food is amazing the chef definitely takes pride in what he dose!

Fantastic little local pub. If you were blindfolded and this was revealed, after removal of said obstruction...you could be forgiven for thinking that you might be in Rye, Canterbury or York.

A lovely Olde Worldly feel about the place. Great staff, VERY reasonable prices, free WiFi and a super friendly welcome from the locals.

A true village local...hidden in a town centre. Highly recommended...maybe more for friends than families?

Parking can be an issue and the local radio station playing their personal favourites, interjected with annoying advertising, adds not a single iota of tranquillity to this otherwise perfect little hideaway. But still worth a visit.

Be aware that the pub lies in a restricted access road, direct access is possible from the Morrison's store end, but not from the other side...this does not apply to pedestrians...

Arrived in a party of 16 for Sunday roast, we preordered to ease our experience and hopefully give the kitchen a heads up. Food was all served as consecutively as possible! Staff were very friendly and didn’t seem phased by our party size - after everyone received their mains (very generous portions of meats, potatoes, stuffing and massive Yorkshire pudding..) we had veg and then extra veg provided, extra potatoes and gravy and all the condiments you could ask for. Some of the group needed to cancel desert after over doing it on roast spuds lol

Overall it was an amazing experience for our family get together at an inarguable price....

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday (party of 7 which included 2 young children). Given a lovely friendly warm welcome and showed to our table promptly. Table service for everything was very efficient and staff were really lovely. Food was delicious and how we managed dessert I do not know as the portions are huge. Roast beef was tender and delicious lamb was unfortunately a bit chewy but still very tasty. Only criticism is the portion sizes for young children. Just rather too much. Smaller plates would be good with a bit less food. Lovely garden area to enjoy if desired. Will definitely recommend and...
