Rio's Piri Piri — Restaurant in Dudley

They got order completely wrong. Didn't want to help and didn't care that they were mostly to blame. Which was a massive shame and very disappointing. I ordered through Deliveroo and told them I was using an App and online discount code. They assumed I ordered through their app (he didn't ask if it was through Deliveroo or not and didn't even take my name or address) so took NO RESPONSIBILITY and fobbed us off by claiming it was the 3rd parties (Deliveroo's) fault that Rio's couldn't see the additional notes (as per what I was advised to write on notes by staff member) on the order. Even though I called prior to order to explain the changes they still screwed up and didn't WANT TO help at all. Kids and family very disappointed but the Rio's staff and management are very slippery and horribly stubborn when they can't be arsed with giving actual customer service. I've seen it all before and there's no point expecting certain types of people to use compassion or empathy when blood doesn't actually flow to their hearts. Unfortunately, they are now filed under EVIL.

P.s Don't bother responding as I don't care what you have to say. As you gave no value to what I had to say when trying to rectify this issue. You may come across as complete tw*ts. But you don't care, do you? Coz you know that TAKING money is...

Food was fantastic, solid 10/10!

We ordered the Frango burger and the Pitta alongside two chicken steak burgers and some wings. The portion sizes are huge, pretty much American sized. The Frango is the biggest burger I've had, it contains two grilled chicken breast pieces so it's the equivalent of 3-4 burgers at any other fast food joint. I opted for hot and it was genuinely hot but the heat wasn't overbearing as the spice blend was well mixed.

My family are normally harsh critics when it comes to fast food but they absolutely loved it! They loved the amount of heat and spice as well and they were stuffed after eating which I always believe to be a sign of high quality food. The Piri Piri fries are class, way better than the Nandos ones in my opinion.

A separate paragraph needs to written on the wings. I cannot recommend the lemon & herb flavour wings enough! I've never had anything like them before. Honestly it's worth coming down just for the wings.

The place itself is very clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Best place to eat food in this part of Black Country hands down!

Rios is going to be seeing a lot more of me...

Charged extra. First told one rate then charge different rate. Never again.

25/03/2025 After my first review, I was going to write a better review today but after I have seen my review Rio’s saying a “fake” reviews is shocking. Any review written by a paying customer should take as a positive feedback. And try to improve on it. A paying guest paid for a small portion of chips and you are making fries for delivery and keeping your customer waiting for that small fries coz he wrote a bad review!!! Honestly, Most of the staff are nice and show good approach towards guests except one. He might be part of owner or manager. And I am sure he is the one who called this a fake review. Grow up man. When you run an establishment on a high street, you will have good and bad reviews and you need to dealt with it.

Normally I don’t write reviews but that day his service made me write it. And I am glad that I did. My advice to this Rio, every customer is a real customer as long they are paying....
