Prezzo Italian Restaurant Exmouth — Restaurant in East Devon

Lovely food, clearly staff run off their feet though but doing their best. Biggest problem was the table with kids screaming and shouting with parents not controlling them. Management should deal with these kinds of situations and ask the parents politely to either calm and quiet the children down or they will have to leave. Several tables were unable to talk (including ours) and enjoy their meal as a result! People have paid good money to come out on a Saturday night and dont expect to have their evening ruined or be unable to hear each other and talk due to another tables kids. Management should have managed the situation. Also we got an extra chair shoved on our table mid meal as staff member seemed to think it was time to 'tidy' up even though the chair belonged to another table that had swapped it for a highchair. Towards the end of the meal service was slow and throughout the meal I had to ask several times for tap water with the wine. Sadly it would also seem prezzo have got rid of jugs of water and only provide a glass at a time which is a nightmare to keep trying to get staff to come over, serve you and provide water. We booked a table for 8pm at Prezzo Italian Restraurant in Exmouth on Saturday 26th July 2025. We weren't very impressed, we ordered Two starters for myself & my Husband ( Fried mozzarella & Mac & Cheese bites) these arrived within Fifteen minutes. The problem we had was firstly the amount of time it took for our main meal to arrive , which was Forty five minutes , we got our main meal at 9pm. I ordered Crab & Lobster Ravioli, which I enjoyed, the problem was my Husbands main meal , he ordered the Meaty Calzone, which when the 1st one arrived it was cold, so my Husband sent it back & they apologised & said they would cook another one, when the 2nd one arrived , it was hot at the ends of the Calzone, but the middle was cold & also the filling was warm ( not cooked properly ) so it was inedible , so he returned it for a 2nd time , he was asked if he wanted something else, but put off by how long it would take to cook, I in the meantime had finished my meal. My Husband went hungry. Prezzo refunded my Husbands main meal . We are very disappointed , as we used to visit Prezzo Italian quite often , as we usually enjoy it. I enjoyed another lovely meal at Prezzo Exmouth today – delicious dishes & drinks, beautifully presented – but what truly made the experience special was being served by Emmer. I’ve known her for years, and she consistently delivers warm, genuine customer care. Her friendly, attentive service turns a meal into an experience, and it’s one of the main reasons I’ve kept returning to this restaurant over the years.

Eating good food is one thing; being served by someone who truly understands customer service is the complete package. That personal connection is something no app can replace. While I’ve heard about plans to move everything to ordering through an app and reduce front-of-house staff, I believe this would take away a huge part of what makes dining out at Prezzo Exmouth so enjoyable.
