My evening repast at the Saveur Restaurant was naught short of a serendipitous discovery, akin to stumbling upon a secret pot of gold. This first-class establishment, modest in size yet grand in quality, is a hidden gem that whispers of intimacy and refinement. The ambiance within is tranquil and serene, a perfect retreat from the clamor of the world. The quiet elegance of the setting, with its soft lighting and artful decor, doth create an atmosphere ripe for romance. 'Tis a place where the heart is stirred, and the soul finds comfort in the company of a loved one. I would heartily recommend Saveur for a date night, as it sets the perfect tone for an evening of love and connection. The intimacy of the space, coupled with the exquisite fare and attentive service, ensures that every moment spent here is as cherished as a lover's whispered vow. In sum, Saveur Restaurant is a treasure for those who seek an experience both refined and romantic. It is a place where love can blossom, and memories are made to last a lifetime.

My wife and I ate here yesterday. The food in all respects was cooked and displayed to perfection. Being an independent restaurant it was nice to be served by a waitress, ‘we assume she was the owner’ who wasn’t following a script but still ticked all of the boxes. At no point were our glasses empty before being asked if we’d like another, and our food was of very high quality. I’m very fussy about how I like my steak cooked and on ordering I made this clear. When the steak arrived it was perfectly cooked and care was taken a few moments later to ensure that it was to my satisfaction. The whole venue was spotless including the toilets. One thing I would mention is that it’s not often we are satisfied with the selection of wine but we tried three different one and all of them were very good. We often write reviews for a secret dining website and it’s not often that we find it so hard to find fault with a venue. Thank you for a lovely evening, Ed & Lenka

Our family's first visit to Saveur. And certainly not our last! The atmosphere and ambience was very relaxing, the service first-class and and the lunchtime offers were excellent value. The starters (creedy carver duck and Asian cured salmon) were the perfect appetisers to get our tastebuds tingling, our main course ('Catch of the Day' - Hake with brown shrimp and samphire nut brown butter) was simply superb, and the dessert (local honey parfait) reigned supreme. Having a gluten intolerance, I was personally informed of all the options available to me (many more than I'd expected), even adapting dishes to suit my needs. The whole experience was flawless from start to finish and certainly worth every penny. Thank you to all the team for making our visit so enjoyable...we are already planning our next one!

Wow Wow Wow 🤩 Our first visit to Exmouth and managed to booked a table at Saveur for dinner. All I can say is thank goodness we did. What a gem. Small intimate restaurant with the most amazing atmosphere and even more amazing food. We read the reviews and were desperate to get a table, so we popped in on the off chance that they could fit us in as it was mid week and lucky for us they could. I suspect that had it been the weekend, No Chance!! We are foodies and eat out a lot, but we can honestly say we have not being to such an amazing restaurant for a while. It’s intimate, beautiful decor (I suspect that’s Kerry’s doing!) and the food is amazing. Locally sourced product cooked to absolute perfection, thank you Nigel. We had the slow cooked Moroccan Lamb and the Severn and Wye smoked salmon to start and they were amazing, the flavours were out of this world. Followed by the Powderham Rib Eye with Camembert Mash - the rib eye melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection, the mash was wow 🤩 and the Crispy Panko Scampi, which is a starter but I couldn’t resist it and I’m so glad I didn’t as it was beyond yummy 😋. Kerry helped us pair our meal with a great wine. We decided to have a cheese board with port and Kerry talked us through the cheeses and helped us choose a perfect combination, all locally sourced and finished a fantastic meal off perfectly. A perfect night thank you Nigel and Kerry and your team 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 we...

We waited over a month before posting this review to ensure our view wasn't just a spontaneous reaction but as time has passed our view has stayed constant. The venue has not changed with the new management so all as before, nice cosy etc. Food is where the disappointment comes. Menu restricted in choice and expensive for what you get. Every course went unfinished. The beetroot tartan, pastry soggy and tasteless. Venison carpaccio overpowered by other flavours. And our main of fillet steak (over done) ended up being little more than a £27 carvery. No way to serve a fillet. The front of house owner spotted our disappointment and asked about our view and we were honest about out experience. We were offered a discount but that was not what we were after and when the bill arrived a voucher was also presented but as we are unlikely to go back we felt taking it was the wrong thing to do. We were told by the owner that they had come from a public house and if this had been served up at pub prices we would have been reasonably happy but overal food was just ok. We can produce equal quality at home and it was expensive for what you get, so we are not likely to go back. Just not good enough for what you are being...

We decided to give this restaurant a try after seeing reviews online. It's recently been taken over by new owners so we were sceptical about how good it would be..!

What can I say, it's by a long shot the best meal we've eaten out, And we've eaten out at many of the top restaurant's including The Ivy and The Balmoral in Edinburgh. From start to finish, every course was filled with amazing flavour and the presentation was second to none.

So much effort has been put into making sure that the food and service is amazing. The staff and Chefs are so passionate about making sure that you have a meal to remember. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere and setting was idyllic.

I honestly can't say how lovely this meal was, I guess you will have to just take my word for it and give it a try.... you won't be disappointed!!

The only down side is that we live 4 hours away and won't be able to come back as much as we would love to... having said that, this more than warrants a trip back.

P.s Try the Steak for main and the Choclate Brownie...
