When i visited this Beautiful and very Atmospheric/Historical Establishment, I was Greeted with a very Warm Welcome from the Gorgeous and Friendly Lady. I ordered my choice of Beer/Ale, and she poored my Drink for me. Then i paid her what i thought was a very Good price, a lot cheaper than Local Pub. I then took walk towards there very Lovely Alfresco and very Pretty Patio area at the rear of the Establishment. I sat down with my drink and just relaxed and Enjoyed the Ambience of the afternoon. I some very Lovely Patreon's whilst i was there. I thoroughly and most Sincerely Enjoyed myself in such a Gorgeous Establishment. Also, i noticed that they are very Dog Friendly and they do Provide Facilities for Loved and Cared for Doggy. I Absolutely with all of my Heart Recommend. You come and visit and have a Good drink and some Food whilst You are there. Thank you very much for making my visit Great. Jonathan/Peterborough.😁😁😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Decent pub for drinks, however food could've been a lot better. We had two tuna sandwiches, and collectively both of them had less meat than you'd get in a single tin (cheese on one cost extra) Fish and chips batter was a little soggy in areas, and gammon steak a little too salty and fatty with only half edible.

Beer and crisps, fine, but if I hadn't already made my mind up not to eat there, then watching one of the chefs walk straight from the urinal out of the loos without going via the sinks and hand dryers would have been enough. Interesting clientele and seemingly 24 hour football on the TV

Nice pub from outside, grumpy and rude staff, dog friendly but not really, poor staff and makes you feel unwelcome. Strongly advise avoiding this pub.

Reply to the owners:

I wasn't intending to leave a review until when we left and thanked the bar staff and the lady with purple hair responded sarcastically “bye then and your killer dog”. Who may I add is a chocolate Labrador I completely understand that our dog behaved unacceptable towards one of the waiting staff the lady with purple hair he has never acted this way before and it was a shock to us and I appreciate it was not nice for the lady, that comment was externally immature and not needed.

But to reply and say he was growling at everyone who walked past is a complete lie. He was friendly towards everyone else in that pub and was sat right next to a table of four elderly people who were sat stroking the “killer dog”. I understand you had a busy summer but to use that as an excuse for poor customer service isn’t acceptable or because our dog was barked twice at one person. If our dog was so much of an issue for barking twice then you could of asked us to leave. The drinks was fine and we never...

We ate at the feathers on 2 different days : Lunchtime & evening , both times were wonderful. Polite , efficient Staff . Lovely pint of Otter . Lunchtime we had Large all day brunch ( Staff let me have extra beans instead of tomatoes ) & the Ham , egg & chips . Top quality ingredients properly cooked & plenty of it . Evening meal was Rump steak ( Staff were kind enough to add an order of gravy for me , which wasn`t on the menu , for my meal ) , Steak & ale pie , chips , side of onion rings . As above , everything was perfectly cooked , high quality & with generous helpings . It was our first holiday to north Devon , we shall definitely visit again & will certainly make a beeline to the Feathers . Popular with locals in the evening , nice atmosphere. 10/10 in...
