I visit the cafe a few times a year.
Service: The waitress taking the order was surly, she did not even say hello. I asked for a glass of tap water and was presented with bottled water and at that stage felt too embarrassed to return it.
Food: Portion sizes have gone down considerably. I ordered a jacket potato with beans and cheese - there was very little cheese on the potato.
Price: The lady at the till made up prices as the amount we paid did not reflect the menu price.
Hygiene: There is a larger lady who waits tables there, she was wearing a black t shirt and it was soaking wet and absolutely filthy with stains. Clean aprons should be provided at the start of a shift.

Read moreI have visited Roses Caffe on a number of occasions and have always been happy. However, recently, on two occasions I have been sick with mild symptoms of food poisoning. Most recently this week. The first time I didn’t make the connection however immediately after my recent visit I became ill.
I believe they have a new chef and I have to say the food I received this week was not the usual.
I also witnessed a young member of staff back chatting her superior when asked to carry out duties and found this very unprofessional.

Read moreI would like to personally thank these guys, a huge thanks goes out to you. I 1st visited this lovely village café a few weeks ago the food was lovely and its got a real family loving vibe going on. Unfortunately I got overcharged but didn't question it at the time. Anyway when visiting a few weeks later I told my story to the owner and without question he refunded me the difference. He didn't have to do it but, i certainly appreciate the way he handled it.
