The Hertford Bell — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

Went to the Hertford Bell at lunchtime hoping to get away from all the depressing news on the TV. What a mistake!. All the tvs had on as usual was bbc news on with Boris Johnson talking rubbish!. When I went in the sound was off thankfully and great music Was playing through the speakers!. Then the barmaid decided to turn the music off and the TV up. When I complained to her saying I didn't come out to listen to that depressing rubbish she said SHE wanted to hear it!. Nevermind the customers! I thought the pub was there for the customers...

Went after a long time around 1pm waited a little while to get served staff talking had a pint of abbot ale not the easiest to pour nearly finished when the man pulled a phone out of his pocket and walked away to take call came back finished pulling my pint £4.50 not to bad , pint was warm and cloudy shouldn’t have drunk it , obviously wasn’t pulled through I got the pint that was in the pipes all night won’t be going back .at least I didn’t get stuck to the table this time that was an...

Great pub. So much better since now leased rather than being a Greene King managed pub. Landlords (husband & wife) are always on the bar, great team of young staff who are always clearing tables and offering drink top ups so no need to go to the bar. Watched the Lions rugby here and really enjoyed it. Great beer garden out back too with TV screens as well. One of the better pubs in...
